Why not try another chance at buddy keys?
You may think they didn't work but they did atleast for my friend I after like a year without playing. We got the buddy keys and subscribed for a while too. Why not try it again?
Yeah, I don't see why not.. With all the older players leaving 'cause of the known "unmentionable" problems (well, I guess its not only because of that, but that seems to be the main reason), buddy keys would just bring more players into this game, which is always good. :D
Seriously, i coudl get NC 4 accounts if they would just give my freinds 14 days to compare this to WoW

Buy a [923] L2 timecard, you'll have to pay a [923] markup of about 5$ tho, but you can **** yourself a [923] account by buying only one [923] box.
If you buy a L2 timecard, you get a buddy key in it now (releave yourselves of your credit card slave). You'll have to pay an extra 5$ tho, compared to other [923] NCSoft available timecards [923].
BUT, you just buy a L2 timecard, and you get a key to activate, and a time card to pay for the account. It's basically the game for the 2.5 months for the price of a regular NCSoft timecard (+weird *** markup).
You peeps should give out more buddy keys, and more rewards to people who sign other people up to the game... A nice example of this type of cooperation is Alphonse Desjardins. (http://www.desjardins.com/fr/a_propos/profil/histoire/)

As you hunt monsters throughout aden, you will notice special keys dropping from dead mobs. These keys can be exchanged for vouchers.
The vouchers can be used to spin the prize machine next to the event managers. The machines will reward you according to the value of the voucher used and include potions, scrolls, enchants and buddy keys.
If you get a buddy key, you can double click it to reveal a buddy code for the game. Your key becomes a voucher of buddy (that contains the buddy key).
IF the buddy key you have uncovered is activated to play the game, your voucher of buddy will change color, and you can redeem it to the event manager for one of the 4 unique special items of "buddy".

Yeah I made a suggestion to bring back the Trial Keys in the Suggestion Forums. Would be cool to make an ingame system to make it happen. I would be happy enough if they would simply make them easier to aquire.
I have no friends :( but i could make alot of accounts for myself; so i could have 5+ buffers running after me.
You could donate it to Warcry because I remember last time, they collected buddy keys that people gave up and gave them out to those who didn't have one yet (such a nice act :D).
Also, that would be a sweet event, getting buddy key drops lol.
