Hello, I was looking at the skill for PS (since I was seeing a lot of thread currently on it) and they are able to summon cubes. Well here is my question...
Can they summon both the cubes and the servitudes at the same time?
i had a question about servitors...which is the cool cat guy thing, the fat cat, and the girl cat thing...what are thier roles?
I think the summons you're talking about are the warlock summons. The cool cat guy is probly Mew (and he doesn't act like a guy at all - hehe). He's a PVP cat, sucks up 90% exp. Fat cat is Kat and he can recharge your MP (takes 30% exp). Finally the Queen cat has melee buffs (almost like BD buffs) which stack up with all the other melee buffs. I've never had it so I dunno what kind of buff it is. All i've heard is that it makes melees "gods".
For mages, you'd want to have an ES in your party with Seraphim buffs. That makes all mages walking fireballs with insane cast speed for nukes and the seraphim buffs allow you to spam aura flare. You won't get so much penalty on doing aura flare if you have this buff. You can spam it all you want. ^_^
PvE - shadow for solo, hands down, and soulless for groups (nightshade when they need a healer)
PvP - Silhouette, and soulless can be handy in mass PvP (wide range poison ;) ). Haven't tried Nightshade yet. might be fun when everyone gets their target to it :P
cubics are cubics, they are basically 15 minute proc buffs. They create little glowing shapes above your head that tell you when the proc goes off. They are uncontrolable as well.
So if I was in PVP combat I could have a cubic as well as a servitor? And you can't control the cubic so you can summon it to use but you have no idea when it will go off against the other person? WOW interesting I didn't know that! Need more info all the PS infor you can give lol I want to make a PS and understand it completely so I wont screw it up! heh thanks for all the info greatly appreicated SO MUCH :)
When i PVP i have a spark cubic out and have a phantom for my whole party. Cubics are independent of pets. My advice, if you have the money is practice against others, particularly classes that win a lot.
From my little experience of testing with spark, I've noticed it lands with an extremely good % in PvP, less so in PvE. It's a bit expensive to use, though, and you'll have to attack yourself for it to fire, so you'll probably be flinging curses at anything faster than an orc mystic. (You can't catch anything by running, so kiting classes are out)
So you saying kiting classes like archers are out for expecting the cubics to actualyl get them? even if they stand still to shoot? and basically your saying that the cubics don't do as well in PVE but they do in PVP? and I don't exactly understand the whole "damage yourself" situation you saying the cubic doesn't ract unless my character was taking on damage?
You got that wrong, the cubics only fire when you attack. And that means only you, your servitor has no effect on the cubics.
Now, an attack can be any hostile action towards another character/mob, so using the cheap debuffs from dark wizard days is one way to fire off cubics when you can't get to someone. And that's pretty much all the time if someone is kiting you, because as a dark wizard you're one of the slowest classes in game. Going against a silver ranger means you can't catch him even if he stops to shoot every chance he gets.
The cubic, of course, does hit even from range, but you have to get it to fire, that's why I mentioned the debuffs.
As far as PvP/PvE comparison goes, I tested the spark cubic on a 55 warsmith when I was 42, it landed almost 90% of the time. But while on the field, using it on mobs, it lands roughly half of the time.
