A few questions from a noob

Hi all i`ve just transfered from eve online so slaying orcs and goblins is abit different from shooting down spaceships :).

So I have a few questions about what looks to be a great game.

1.I`m thinking about playing as a mage how do i learn spells and do i have to rest to get them back like other games?

2. Are mages essential to a party and do they stand up in a fight against a fighter?

3. Which race has the best spell casters?

4. Can different races work together (my friend is an orc can we team up?)

5. Is the dark elf assain path worth it or do they get annilated like most rogue classes?


I`ll be playing on liona as I fancied a Rp change so if anyone on this server wants to help a noob out i`d be grateful

You gain experience and skillpoints every time you kill a mob/monster. And at certain level ups you can learn certain skills, if you have enough skillpoints and the right materials(books, amulets etc..) to learn those skills/spells.

Your spells are mana dependant, and you have to rest to get your mana back, there is a slight mana recovery when not resting, but its not enough...

For the moment mages (casters) are the Best and always wanted in groups. And.. a fighter doesnt stand one chance against a caster.

For PvE: Spellhowlers (Dark elves)
For Pvp: Spellsingers (Light elves, ***h elves...)

Yes, everyone can party with anyone.

They get annihilated yes. They are good in PvE, but dont stand a chance in PvP (range owns everything...).
