I just read that around 57 or so I should go to valley of the saints to lvl. I'm wondering what the best exp spot would be for me from 48-57 (I know it may be a couple of spots that change around lvl 52 or so) Right now at lvl 45 I'm on alligator island 1 or 2 shotting mobs for 3-5k exp per hit. I'm hoping to get 4k+ exp per shot from 48-57 in an area with lots of mobs around (preferably not large group mobs, no more than 4 or 5 in a group that I can 1 shot all of them b/c I don't have fast casting speed or aoe sleep) Current equipment:
+11 ghouls staff with mana up
+4 int
+4 wit tatoos
Have a karmian and a demons set, and using avadon set when I hit lvl 52.
I have a lvl 69 SE on my other account, so have constant empower and recharge. Can get prophet buffs from clan hall, but it's in giran so not totally feasible to soe back there every 20 min if the location is far away.
Please give me any input you can. Have never lvled a mage before and just always grouped with my SE so not used to picking soloing spots
I have no idea what level range the new zones are, I just assumed it was for high levels. Gotta go check it out now!
I liked the Forest Ghosts when I was in the high 40s. Maybe because I just love the Forest of Mirrors. =) Forgot how much xp they were.
Taik Orc Seekers in the Cemetary are good for low to mid 50s two shotting, as there is no aggro around them, only other orcs to potentialy link with. (5 - 6.5k xp each there)
Also in the mid 50s hunting with Curse Death link north of the ivory tower was pretty good, as the Tarlk Basilisks there don't link (but they are aggro). (It was 3.5- 4.5k xp a kill.)
At 56-58 I was two shotting the Fallen orcs in the forsaken plains. (6-7k xp each)
If you find yourself hunting with an acumen weapon that isn't highly over enchanted, you might need to be a quite a few levels higher than I've listed.
At level 52 i was just loving the forest of mirrors, hunting the Matriarch groups by Anghel waterfall. But i was using a pure Damage dealing setup.

staff of evil spirits with mana up (valahal didn't have acumen back then)
and tats for pve.
they give serrious exp, but without SE buffs i don't think a sh can 2-3 shot them.
from 45-52 i hunted on my necro on the group mobs in oren
i could one hit them all using blaze for the most part or vamp claw or death spike for the ones with a bit more hp
good xp for quick kills, and decent drops, should be similar for a SH.
After 52 i was started cdling the stuff in the cemetary, opisate side to FG. one hit kills and no agro. Very nice xp, decent quest for a bit more money and a good way to be making money.
I did under Ivory Tower, then outside the pit of Ivory tower, and now I'm in Forest of Outlaws on the gargoyle and basilsk mobs. Crazy exp, fast mob spawn, and NON SOCIAL. My SE can barely keep up with my mp I kill so fast. I just stand in one spot and nuke. Going to the cemetary at around 50. It's doable now but I like my new spot.
I had a similar set up to you and with the SE you have i'd say go to Cemetery, then progress to DC, followed by FG.
If your not in a War with anyone, equip the Avadon helm/boots and use Demon, there's no better leveling set. Avadon is the choice if your KoS or at War, also i'd go to DV if your in war Cemetery is a hotspot.
