if they were equipped and they were dropped, /gm it cause it was a bug.
whats a warehouse? anyway, no one is around on my server, I asked around, no one cares, thery just said haha or go play wow noob or something like that. guess im done cuz there is no way im doing that for another month
A friend of mine stopped playing when I started, So I got the best d grade sword from him free, so I sold that and I grinded for about a month just for adena.... de leveling a few times and what not, also found a throwing dagger that I sold for about 80k to someone

wow u really know how to give a deal o.0
and why didnt you go back to where you died ad pickup your droppings?
Are you sure? When you die and drop something, do a /loc and write down your exact location. Many areas seem the same. I thought I'd lost my Plate Gaiters in Cruma Swamp once, but I was looking in a close, but different, area.
If someone did pick them up, you can try shouting and ask if anyone picked up your drop. Someone may have, and without your body there, does not know who to give them back to. Do NOT shout out WHAT you dropped. That is the only way the finder can sort out the owner.
If no one is around, SoE to town and shout out there. Do so for a few days as the finder may be offline when you get to town.
Oh, your Warehouse is in the 'Warehouse' shop in all towns. Look on you map. In that shop you will see an NPC named 'Warehouse Keeper.' Start a conversation with him/her and choose 'Deposit Item' It opens a trade box; move your item (left-click and hold, scan to the box) into that box and click 'okay.' There is a 30a charge for storing each stack of items.
Maybe you are surprised but I got my first piece of (lowest) D grade equipment at lvl 26 or so back then... you should be perfectly fine in nograde as hunting has become easier since prelude as well.
Thanks for all the help, dunno if im gonna stay or not, guess ill ponder over it while im in class lol, I just feel like a month of my life has been wasted for someone else lol
Yeah.. Same here.. I had NG up to lvl 30, and believe or not that actually made me a better player, I think.. Now it seems so easy to lvl at the 50s.. :p
Now seriously.. Getting weapon and money from other ppl doesn't teach you how to play the game (and the market).. The economy in this game is one of the most difficult parts of it, and it takes time to learn how to make money.. If it was easy I would definitely not be playing it anymore..
Keep playing, buy stuff cheap, sell expensive, make money and get a new sword..

You're looking at this the wrong way.
You have spent one month to discover that you CAN'T travel with expensive items in your inventory.
You see, I read a story a few days ago about a 71 year old man, who was reputed to always carry large sums of cash on him, finally met his match, and was PK'd for his pocket money.
I am guessing you should stay, and look into other ways to make adena besides bashing into mobs.
If it helps im broke too. No money and doing the DA class change quests. The [censored] have me running around the whole **** map just to talk to one guy and come back. Very fustraiting.
was anyone else a paranoid noob? I remember putting everything, including the majority of my adena in the wh, because I thought I could drop even that.. :D
EDIT: Grinding for adena is not the way to play imo. Do this: Make some money (manoring is great, or whatever), and then buy low/sell high. It's a wonderfull thing making money afk.
If you had the best D Grade sword, then you didn't need to grind money for the duals. An ELS is worth considerably more than 107s - in fact, you could have evenly exchanged it for something better than duals (a claymore), which I'm surprised your friend didn't tell you.
I'm sorry to hear about that, but you'll get no sympathy from most of us because we're vicious animals. Rawr! =)
You live and learn, I guess!
Maybe one day you'll get lucky and find something lying on the ground that someone spent a month working to get, and decide to keep it? Then you'll be an animal too!

Can't wait to read your post when you'll tell us you losed your Majestic Circlet... (a small inexpensive item ala 150 mils)
Read between the lines. His friend gave him a weapon worth more than top duals, but neglected to tell him not to sell it to get (inferior) duals. He worked for a month just to get 3mil for 107's, when they cost much less than that.

You can make top D duals in giran for 1.9m roughly, depending on tax. Add the price of the enchant and they arent anything more than 2.3m, max. Why did you pay 3m for them? Why did you delevel a few times, instead of using them. 18 is a long ways from 20. Not like you were going to use them in the next few minutes. How did you delevel without unequipping your gear?
Bah, playing drunk is fun. The worst things that's happened to me while playing drunk were (1) Getting lost in Dion for about 10 minutes (couldn't find an exit) and (2) flirting with some chick in clan chat instead of normal chat.

best sword might be refurring to an sor ^^
that would give him 1.5m ... the throwing knife puts him at 1.58m that's still another 400k to grind out at prelvl 20...
also at 2% to lvl 20 I might have my d-grade weapon with me...
Anyway... even if he is telling the truth there is no way I'm giveing him my adena...

Just wanted to apologize for missing he said he was 2% from 20. I miread that as 2 levels i think. I still wanna know how he delevelled without using the wh.

You're hilarious. You'd make a horrible teacher.
You remind me of the black belts who make fun of the yellow belts, saying they are so stupid.
An obvious n00b WILL make these kinds of mistakes. Why get all suspicious and wanting to start pounding on him ?
People in L2 are way too suspicious... And violent.
*points to BigMick* Look ! It's just a kid, a new kid who dropped his ice cream cone.
ok, I decided to stay, thanks for the advice guys, I haven't looked into manoring yet, can anyone explain what that is?
yes, you buy seeds and a harvester, place both on your hot bar, run up to a mob, press the Fkey for the seed, kill the mob, press the Fkey for the harverster and you will collect the mature seed.
Kill mobs that are green or white to you, buy seeds that are of the level range of the mobs you are going to be killing. You'll have to look at the seeds at the manor guy and the description.
You go to the manor guy and turn in your seeds and you get mats, sell the mat for adena to other players (NOT the NPCs).
Oh yea, if you were on Sieghardt, don't waste your time with the manor system b/c you cannot make any adena . . . unless you use a bot program to sell the seeds back b/c that's the only way that I can think of that you can beat the other bots turning in seeds.
When I first started in C2, I bought Dss in Dion for 11 adena, then dodged red players on the run to Guldin (sometimes I was unable to dodge them) and then sold the Dss for 12 adena. I did this every night until I could afford to buy something more expensive and then sell it for more than I had bought it for. Also, in C2 you could do the manor system - the botters were not as much into the manor system until the end of C2.

Hmmm, interesting advice. A bit late on the trigger, but your information is good. Note you missed the OP already mentionned Lionna.
You're a terrain person. What we like to call green berets.
EDIT : I have granted you an extra star. Enjoy ! You're close to beeing a cool kid now...

the worst part about it all is this...
if you look at his post history he asks if 2.8m for a +1 107 is a good price... and people say yes, so he bought it.

Ignorance and stupidity are 2 different things completely. I had no clue what the L2 boards were when I was getting to 40. I had to depend on the player base. Just like you I am sure. He says noone was around, Yet he bought the duals from someone. I didn't know those sold in gludio still. Back to my point, he is on the boards looking for help for a mistake he made, when he could have just as easily asked for help, which Hieverybody, i think, said he asked for, then didn't follow. To me, it seems like he covered all of his tracks before we could state the obvious. Of course I am suspicious. He said he delevelled to make money, yet he spent an extra 300k on a spur of the moment decision from his 80k npc sale. How? Doesn't take too many deaths before you lose gear. Can you see where I am coming from now?
My apolgies if he is legit, I just don't see it from the info given.
P.S. I am a teacher, where I expect common sense to be a common virtue. Semper Fi
Well, we non-'hardcore' players like to respect and support our fellow players-in-need (if it's legit). You know, we are all in the game together, after all, and it's nice to HELP OUT people in need.
But you're 'hardcore.' You wouldn't understand that.

He is already buying Brig Helm, your fellow player-in-need.

I fixed the mistakes.
There are so many flaws in his story that it is hard to believe. He's also posted it twice with a different cause of death in each. I help people when I can but this is too fishy to just throw out a couple mil because he makes some whimpers. He obviously understands that it takes time to earn anything in this game because he farmed for a month. Maybe he should stick with it as you don't need top D at 20 anyway.
How did you delevel without unequipping your gear?
That's a dang fine question right there. Here's another: if the op was given a top D weapon, why delevel at all? Why not get to 20 as soon as possible to use it?
