Spell Howlers and shots

I have a question for the spell howlers out there. How do you all manage your shots, so as not to use them on BTM and CLD?

I checked and neither CLD nor BTM are benefited by the use of shots. I have tried to make a macro that would use a shot then cast the spell. However this caused me to have delay before I could cast my next spell. This wasn't good on bad pulls. If I just try to use them manually before each nuke, I have a chance to not get the shot off in time for the nuke. When soloing this means an extra nuke is needed that was before. This isn't very efficient.

I appreciate any other advice you have for a newbie SH.

Don't use Auto SS....
Put the shots on your hot bar and press the F-Key each time you wanna use them.

Yep thats the same way I do it.

Like everyone else said just put the SS on your hot bar and press to use them don't keep them running when you go to use BTM or CLD they just waste your SS!
