The BH Paradox

General Discussion Started Last reply 33 posts
Ok everyone says BHs are no PVP chars, and they are right.
But if thats the case, BHs should be PVE masters. So u would think they should get the best PVE-skills, but thats not the case.

Sure they have the unique spoil skill, but that doesnt hurt mobs, and dont u think its a little odd that a nuker levels 10 times faster then a BH?

Confused
I guess thats like the 10th post complaining about BH balance in the last weeks... didn't even know so many people are interested in playing one. :p

Its not a complaint (I dont want to play any other char then BH), just something I realised for the first time:

If we sacrifice all our PVP-skills, we should get the best PVE-skills in return.

PVE-only skills like crush skeleton, insect, beast u name it.
We do get the best PvE skill in return, its called "spoil". But since thats been somewhat messed up by NCSoft Korea, we really could use a bone and get better PvE skills.

I've already suggested that both dwarf classes should get higher mana gain.
You don't really sacrifice pvp skills for pve skills. You sacrifece them for money making skills. But that is up for discussion (by turn, including spoil).

And I agree that both dwarves should get higher mana gain.
BH is only bad at pvp by terrible design and play mechanics. Back long long ago when stun was unbreakable BH wasn't to bad in pvp. Problem is when they nerf skills for other classes like stun, fake death etc. It affects BH too since they share alot of skills with other classes.

I'm playing my BH as my main for a while when I get back. ;)
Every chari n this game is a PVP char, if it wuldnt you wuldnt be able to even start 'pvp', this is a PVP game and is anounced an PVP game, when we made our BH's we didnt get an big sing and being told if you select htis char your not able to PVP.

BH lacks horrible in PVP and it's ALL about bad design nothing more then that.

EG BH is identical to WS, sure we have fake death but thats it, WS on other hand have golems who make em a lot more stronger hten us, hell they even have craft who is there way to earn cash, but just becose BH can spoil we are less worth in PVP and have no part at all aparently.

Not only there crafting there got a key role in siges and a full needed class for ever clan, this on other hand is not true about BH's at all htey aint needed at all, all items aimt spoilable, in fact most A grade + aint it at all, they are drop only or quest spoilers is pointless here, even for mats. What role do BH's have right now, I duno NCSoft aint telling us either.

I don't get this at all, we should get our PVP skills sometimes, But I can't ever see this comming.
I'm happy with my WarSmith's abilities.. but then I box a hi level SE.. decent level baby prophet.. and my bf is a bd that always parties with me.

Only one rule for BH when faced with a PvP situation. Run. No other option remains.

Yeah! Move them stumpy legs! maybe if you fake death the guy who you cant outrun will leave you alone...
Would actually be nice if BH got some siege related skills too.

Heh, don't discount that, I've avoided a few PvP kills with Fake Death. You just need to make it believable. (Unless they guy is actively checking his "unmentionable" and sees you're not quite dead yet)

Or.

Die and quickly relog to high level nuker.

In a couple of years, sub-class nuker. Problem solved.

I've ran mages out of mana before by drinking cp and heal pots on my dwarf... Just use all the money you got from your money making skills in pvp...
I wuld LOOOVE to be able to drink so many CP pots, nukers my own lv nuke me for like 1500 in damage, and using an 200 + 50 cp pots for 250 CP pots every second or so won't even manage to 'drain' up this damage at all.

And yeah the nuker is able to throw that 1500 damage per nuke every second.

didn't even know so many people are interested in playing one. :p

Seing how drops are balanced it's not surprising that ppl try to get more materials by turning to BHs...
You're right to be confused. There isn't much sense to it. Meh.
I just want faster MP regen :(

at least when sit.. It'd be cool. More MP for dorves... The BH could make small pauses and spoil more.
And the WS would love it too.
Who crafts while standing anyway ? Ha I forgot... Everyone craft standing at least at the beginning since YOU CAN'T OPEN YOUR DWARVEN CRAFT WHEN SITTING. It's an active skill so you get the message 'cannot move while sitting' and it's a BUG
Vital Force already adds some minor MP regeneration when sitting. Needless to say it really IS minor - I think the prima guide says something along the lines of 1.7 MP at level 58, but I'll check that when I get home.
Prima guide ? You said Prima Guide ? OMG she said Prima guide !

RRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNN.

it doesnt
i skiped the final lvl of it because every sigle lvl i got i never noticed 1 single point of mp regen
if you are talking hp fair enough it definately works for that
but nope not a single mp tick more
Yeah, and its annoying when you accidently close the window.
Put some recipe from the book on the shortcut bar. When sitting, click on the recipe, then click the "Back" button.

Hey ! Good tip ;)

I had missed that.

its what all the cool crafters are doing these days...
well that and smoking and clicking
yeah that and macroing recharges by your SE box...
Simple solution:
Stop playing an BH higher than LvL 40
Stop playing Gladi, Tank, Dagger, Warsmith, Warlord...
Start playing an Nuker (SH or Necro are very common) or an archer.... than you have the face of the most classes in L2!

Greatest solo abillities and PvP masters!

*darn the sarcastic button is stuck!*
I dunno if anyone already said this, but you can open the craft book, then sit and craft once the book is already open.

This is true, but Krissa's advice actually answered the question at hand:
