I was wondering if you could help me with a few questions about my lvl 52 tyrent.
1st: His new eqibment? what is the best at B grade for a Tyrent at lvl 52? so i know what I should aim to get
2nd: His weapon? which is best for a lvl 52 tyrent? The reason I ask is because imo the next best top C weapon (fist) was the best for me to grind with - because of the SA (speed and not that risk haste with top C)
3rd: his Tatoos? Atm I have +4 STR-4 CON, since I figured that I have alot of health etc - but I could use some more dmg.
For me I went with Doom Light and Bellion Cetus until A grade for the reason that Anthro Nails where good but the Haste just ment more SS cost in all reality. I took the extra P Attack of the Bellions since I was going with Doom that gives +Dex for Attack Speed already. I tried the BW Heavy but I didn't like the hit i took in run speed for the extra P Def or P Attack. Doom Gave me more Run Speed, Attack Speed, and Breathing underwater which is whta i liked. With a Prophet in Toe I could Solo the 1st room in Apostate solo with spamming SS and healing with Battle heal from Prophet. If I had a VR3 buff on I didn't need heal at all.
what you should do is retire your tyrant and make a new class that isn't going to be destroyed in C5. every day you spend on your tyrant is a day wasted.
if you insist on playing your tyrant, buy doom light, buy a bellion cestus with no SA (unless you ebay adena as if you dont you cannot justify the cost of the SA since it does nothing), and eventually buy black ore jewelry. get a 4 dex -4 con tattoo. if you have a buffer or healer. that will give you 6 more run speed and more attack speed and more crits. if you dont have a buffer/healer then probably it is better to not go -8 con from tattoos. exp in the start of apostate until they're too low, then go to enchanted valley or oel mahum area until 58, then go back to apostate to the bottom of it. dont waste your time with the middle of apostate as the mobs are phys resist and they stun, it is very annoying. just grind. you are useless for pvp until at minimum 62 when you get bunny totem. what you can do to break the monotony (if you have a buffer) is to get ww2 and your +4 dex tattoo and your doom light and go train bots up by the oel mahums. you need all that before you can outrun the mahums they seem to run about 190. you'll need to be about level 58+ or you wont be able to pull enough of the mobs to kill the bot train. you cant play dead but you can log out if you've been undamaged for 15 seconds so collect the mobs a long way from the bot you're training, then run past the zerg so they all stop to hit you once. that gives you distance, if your run speed is over 190 they can't catch you if you dont turn so just run up to the bot which is attacking a mahum and log out right before one of the train attacks you. log back in and stun the bot healers until the bot team dies. just dont pull the mahum witchdoctors, their range makes it hard to get the 15 seconds you need.
honestly though, retire your tyrant now and make a nuker or a tank. or you will regret it come c5
Thanks alot for the advice you have giving me :) atleast I know what to aim for ;) heh.
Falshood how come you say that Tyrent isn't worth it in C5?
What changes so drastically that its not worth it having a Tyrent after that?
Usually I run with a lvl 52 SE, so I will have vr2 to keep the healing at bay.
The problem with tyrants in Chronicle 4 is that their abilities, notably totems, are being nerfed. Normally their reuse timer is at least someone close to how long their totems last, so that you can continually use one totem. In C5 the reuse timer will be longer than the length of the buff by much longer periods. Also, many totem effects are being changed to make it more difficult for tyrants and monks.
What makes me very angry is that this was completely uneeded, unless some other change occurs in C5 which would have made them overpowered. Tyrants are certainly not an overpowered class now.
I'm a Grand Khavatari on Teon, welcome to the Orc way of life my brother.
Equipment for you at 52. First some Questions.
1. Are you at War/PvP with anyone?
2. Do you have a second account to buff you (IE: Prophet)
If you answered No to Q.1, then you want to get yourself BW Heavy. Its gives you +3 Str, thats +7 Str from your Tattoo's as well. You also get +7 Run Spd so the Agile Movement passive isn't that much of a loss.
You gain +10 Run Speed and i think +4 Evasion from wearing Light Armour. However if your not going to PvP for the time being you want to use BW Heavy, you get added P.Def, Str, and R.Spd.
Use your Prophet or group with 1 and go to a Cata. Use Bear Totem and just keep a room. You'll level super fast, when Bear Totem has refreshed hit Ogre then Bear straight after to Heal 20% or your HP, keep repeating this whenever its needed.
Weapons.. this can be a little tricky. I'd say Bellion With Crit.Poison, Crit.Drain is useless.. and Rsk.Haste is a waste of time unless your 68 and use Bison Totem.
So go for Bellion Cestus w/ Crit.Poison (or no SA if you dont have the money to spare) you really dont need one and using C Grade is pointless. Top B has more P.Atk and a Tyrant doesn't really need to rely on SA's.
Just to add, Using B Grade allows you to hunt for longer without having to return to re-supply SS. 1 SS per hit, rather than 3 meaning you dont use as much.
If you PvP, then you want BW Light. Same as above for Weapon.
Edit: I've not read anywhere in the recent patch notes about any changes to Totems. If there is show us proof. (I must check my sources to see if this is true). I know we get another Totem that sucks ***.. and is a complete waste of SP, but not read anything on re-use time.

Changes to Existing Skillz.
6. Following changes have been made to Tyrant's totem skills:
This is an unusual setup, and its for pure-PvE, but its what I'm still using at lvl 57. I duo with my warcrier, so I have VR 1 all the time, keep that in mind.
I have +4 Str +4 Dex -8 Con, Plated leather (+4 more Str -1 Con), and a Bellion Cestus +3 w/ Rsk Haste. On the downside, I only have 2500 hp or so. On the plus side, he does hit very, very hard. It takes some work, but I can stay around 60% hp, and keep the Rsk Haste in effect about half the time. Its risky, I have died here and there, but its fairly quick hunting.
