2nd account

Hi folks,

I wanted to get a 2nd account for my bro, and use it myself if he didn't like the game or play as much. I was gonna make a buffing type character to either follow me around or to meet up with me in town for heals/buff.

here's the question: is it considered illegal to have another account's toon autofollow (if there's a /follow type macro in game) my main account for buffs and heals?

No it is not illegal.

As long as both accounts are yours so it's not account sharing, having 2 accounts and having one auto follow the other is perfectly legal

As long as you are using in game commands with the NCSoft client and no third party programs to 'enhance' your playing experience you are fine.

One thing to keep in mind about the follow command. And I found this out the hard way :D. If your purple or red when you click on the follow macro, your 2nd account, the one following will attack you once it catches up to you lol.

I had my lvl 48 prophet with c grade duals and ss activated, and I was using it to lvl up my new character. Anyhow, I was playing around, went purple, then decided its time to get back to business, clicked the follow macro, the prophet came at me like she usually does, only this time she attacked and killed me lol :D. Funny but not funny :p. Just be aware of that.

If the 2nd account is following you and you go purple after the follow command is activated, it wont attack.

Lol, don't want to have my buffer kill me, that'd suck =P So prophet is the way to go for buffs? This is gonna be a healer/buffer, will not attack at all.

Well I 3box .... with a lvl59 Prophet (PP) and a Lvl56 Shillen Elder (SE)

And both are very nice together.

Generally the Prophet gives A LOT of good buffs for the fighting char, and also som e for the mages. But the SE gives Empower, and that is VERY usefull for a mage.......
but on tha other hand the PP gives Acumen, BtS, and good defense spells such as Magic Barrier, Resist Fire, Bless Shiels and so.... so its also quite good.

If I had to choose (knowing what I know today) I think I would choose SE, because Empower for mages and Vampire Rage for Fighters are **** nice to have :)

well no matter what you choose (as a buff char) I dont think you will he dissapointed :)

vampiric rage is the only way for high lvl characters to have zero downtime

while prophet buffs will help you kill faster they suck at healing and cant recharge mana

i agree on the fact there is nothing like haveing prophet and se buffs....
except OOP prophet, se, bd, warlock but if i had to pick again i'd still choose the se

at higher lvls you wont survive with prophet buffs.. unless you gonna spend all your mana on healing from the prophet, and spamming greater healing potions..

SE buffs + greater swift attack pots, and you are set.
