ok few question so bare with me, im up to the bloody fabric part
1. how long is this gonna friggn take? i been here for 2 hours and while i love seeing "critical hit, you hit for 200 damage" im sure i could be doing something better
i had a friend who was there for 4 hours with a full zerg killing anything that wasnt an orc and they still didnt get it
2. with my se in party will she get it? or will she have to bash some orcs too?
3. according to stratics when you get the bloody fabric you should not finish the quest or else you have to do it again
what i've heard is if you choose "i want to make money" when you go back to give the fabric you will be given 10 extra white fabrics
possibly you use those on angels to make them bloody
any help greatly appreciated
thx
EDIT:
will the fishing shot quest screw me over?
EDIT: EDIT:
i also heard its not how much damage you do but how many time you hit
i've heard a common tactic is to get a set of ng claws and wack away at one mob for a few hours
any truth to that?
It does take a LONG time to get blood on the fabric.
The way me and my clan have done it, is pull out an overlord or shaman, silence or paralyze it, and just wack away untill you get it. It's not about how much damage you do. I think it's completely random when you get it. Don't get offensive buffs. That would just make you have to get another mob faster.
You have to wack the mob till you get it. Being in party is not enough.
I don't know if the fish shot quest prolongs it. Ihad it active, and I got the item. But it took forever. Maybe try to see if it helps to delete it (just remember to turn those sweet fluids into shots, so you don't waste them, if you have a lot).
Pull one of the mobs outside the room, para it (or root/silence/...), clobber with chrono weapons. Buff everybody with haste. Basically, treat the mob like a pumpkin :)
It's about how often the mob is hit, not last hit or most damage or something like that. Just hit OFTEN. That's why chrono weapons are good, you cannot really kill the mob with them :)
BTW you definitely do NOT have to hit the mob yourself, being in party is enough. I got all of my fabrics WITHOUT hitting the mob myself (being healer and all that). But of course if you try getting the fabrics this way, it will be faster if everybody hits the mob.
thx for the replies all
im still hopeing there is more to this quest
to give you an idea of how long ive been doing this, ive killed 5 mobs so far..... with chronos
must have killed at least 200 normally and neither me nor the se has got the drop yet
so if i do actually get the fabric some time this year is it safe to finish the quest and try for the 10 bloody fabrics?
ok done
took about 4 hours and 7 chrono orc killing deaths
as for fishing shots, well the se had the fishing quest and while bashing away with her homu she managed to get the drop before me
it was one mob later that i got the drop
only one question remains
when i went to get the 9 white fabrics it said to bloody them useing angles
in the quest inventory it says orcs, which one is it?
can i use those bloody fabrics to see bauim too?
what happens when i go back with all the fabrics and end the quest?

Angels worked for me :)

Yes those fabrics work to see Baium, I went in to wake Baium with them to help someone doing his quest ( Return2 FTW  )
When you return the 2nd batch of bloody fabrics, the npc tells you to take them to different npc's (the stratics guide tells who) and then you get a random weapon edge and a mat or two like synthetic cokes. If you turn them in, you wont have them to see Baium anymore but you can get more white fabrics and do it again. These are much faster to get bloodied than the first one
Caution, if you run up and see Baium as soon as you get the first bloody fabric (the very first one) you may have to do the entire quest over again, all the arc's and running around :) that happened to a clannie who just had to shake the tower when he got the first one :p
ok since everyone helped me so much ill update you all
as you know took 4 hours for my se to get the bloody fabric, few mins later i got it
as for the second part, took me about 10 mins to get it from the angels
unfortunately i had enough at that stage and decided the se would have to go without
not sure if you need to hit the mob to get that one sorry
but seriously its not becauce they are overpowered, i wanted to play one ever since i first seen one in arena at lvl 20ish
+i dont think i can handle playing lineage without the option to summon something every once in a while
