Server ping time?

I dont know whether its super high or just average, my ping for kain server is about 194, and bartz 180.

1) is ping 194 playable rate? regardless to lags(eventhough im already playing for long time with little problem.. lol)

2) will it be better processing the game in bartz?

I don't see any issues till you get into the 300/400 range, but the big thing is packet loss. Thats what makes it unplayable.

Discerning the difference between 180 and 194 ping without the use of instruments would be incredible.

Yea, you won't see a lick of difference. And if it makes you feel any better, my ping on Kain is 53 and I still get lag, and I don't think I noticed the difference when I had a ping rating of 132 or something like that...except in loading Giran...

Hmm, since ping is the amount of time for a signal to get to the server and back again a higher number means its going to lag slightly more. But as said, the difference between 180 and 196 or whatever is pretty small. Now, when I was playing Gunz: The Duel you would see anything from 32 ping all the way to a whopping 999 ping. Needless to say things become that unplayable at that point. But I would say: dont worry about the ping until you see it go over 250 or 300 or so.

See! You CAN learn something from L2! For those of you who didn't know what "ping" was now you know! :p

PS: And just so you know Giran will ALWAYS lag.... always.
