I've read with great interest the reports about the Meet and Great in Orange County. It looked really fun and the read was interesting.
I know you still have to fly off to east coast meeting but I wanted to ask if a European Meet and Greet had ever been considered ?
Euros are quite numerous on your servers/boards and would probably deserve and/or enjoy it a lot.
Am not talking of a big budget trip with booth babes and such... A few ppl on a plane and a party could fit.
Of course since the last photo leak you'd HAVE to bring Mystril along if you don't want the meeting to end in a large PvGM fight ;)
We are looking at all our options for the next Meet and Greet (well, maybe not a bicycle race). I will pass the Europe suggestion on to Tisirin. Thanks!

Boston. Or else Sovrath and I will go to the next RedSox/Rangers game and swing by NCSoft's offices to bring the pain!
That's something I would really like, a meet and greet in Europe, but not Sweeden, please, choose somewhere more central, preferably some city where cheap airplane companies flies to (Paris, Berlin, Rome, Barcelona, London...). The cheap flights are really important, it's not the same facing a 50e airplane than a 200e airplane. It makes a huge difference in budget.
And also if I had to suggest a place in Europe I'd chose Brussels. Capital of Europe, geographically fair to everyone, two (http://www.brusselsairport.be/) airports (http://www.charleroi-airport.com/) with low cost airlines (Virgin Express ; RyanAir...) and overal a cheap place. A beer there is half the price of one in Paris and the third of one in London. Accomodation follow about the same rules.
Add to that a railway hub with High Velocity Trains (read TGV/Thalys).
As close from sweden as from Italy and heavily connected to major autobahns and autoroutes (all of them with night lighting - way to spend money on electricity :p but nice from space for those coming in X-Prize vehicles)
Also nerds cound not miss the opportunity to check out that newly renovated 165 billion times oversized iron atom with expo rooms and a restaurant in the upper sphere. (http://www.shareware-beach.com/photos/eswc05/html/179CANON/IMG_7982.html) Who needs a London Eye at £13 the 30 minutes ride...
It's great to hear the interest for a Player Meetup in Europe. Our L2 European community is definitely growing all the time!
Right now, our Player Meetup initiative is still pretty experimental, as we look for the best ways to structure them, the best kinds of venues to hold them in, etc. However, we do know that geography is an issue and we are looking at ways to spread them out so that as many people can attend one relatively close to them as possible.
So while I'm not promising a L2 European Player Meetup for this year, it's definitely something we want to consider. I have to say, I do like the Brussels idea. Who's up for a tour of the Waterloo battlefield? :)
One more thing I'd like to add to what The Eye said above -- one of our hopes is that unofficial player gatherings will also be planned by players one day for those interested in meeting other Lineage II/NCsoft players. So if you really really want to see a player gathering in your area, start organizing one and let us know! Even if we're unable to attend, we will try our best to help you out.
You haven't lived in Chicago if you haven't tried Gino's East, Lou Malnatti's (home of the sausage patty, yes, an entire layer of the pizza), Giordano's, and a great place in an obscure location in Morton Grove called Pequod's.
DM: WTB Ketchup chips, Coffee Crisp and some Tim Horton's

Help us out as in finance the cost of renting the place out? Not all of us are best buds with people who own internet cafes like certain people I know.....
Brussels is fun....for a day ^_^ I lived there for 6 months....I s'pose I could use another mitraillette...
That's exactly what I was going to say.
I'm not a beer drinker myself. But, yeah, best beer (according to them, thought I never heard any German saying that belgian beer was bad). Best fries. And, most importantly, BEST CHOCOLATE *dreams of Leonidas boxes*. Real gaufres also gives them extra points. =DDDD

As pointed by DM it wouldn't be the same at all if we weren't going to meet L2...
The staff is L2 in a way.
Even if I'd probably go to a player gathering, it still would not be an L2 Meet and Greet.
And I'm not talking about booth babes.
Also any player gathering would begin by saying money.
A room, food, drinks... an activity or another...

There are lots of ways we could potentially help, such as sending out swag for the gathering, having some of the L2 staff attend, etc. This is not necessarily a new concept. UO had a pretty robust player gathering effort where players themselves put together meetups and Origin would help out in some way, such as I've listed above.
It doesn't have to be in a LAN Center or an any kind of expensive venue. We did the Auto Assault player meetup at a sports bar. They had excellent buffalo wings. :)
Nothing's set in stone, of course, and we would naturally have to evaluate as we went along. One of the things I've enjoyed most about playing MMO's is actually meeting those I've played with. I think it's a fun meta-game. :) And now, one of the best thing about my job is getting to meet players / customers.
i suggest actually a "server" gathering as opposed to a general L2 gathering. when you play on kain and meet people from Devianne, you kinda go ... "meh ... what class?"
but meeting people with whom you are part of a clan, or that you conistently see and raid with would be a more fun time imo. although clans as a whole sometimes are all RL friends, it can be nice to see those you dont know.
i dont play hindemith much anymore but i still want to meet Sir E.
