I am a lvl 19 Orc Firghter. Some of the spiders in L2 have a very nasty purple poison. All I know to do is run to try and get away from it, but is there some better way to handle this situation? Also, for my lvl 19 quest to become an Orc Raider, the 2 betrayers seem to be in the area of the Spider's Nest. And some of those spiders are agressive, strong, and they have the same nasty purple poison. So I really need tips on how to handle all those nasty spiders, or I'lll never be able to do this one quest.
Like said using Antidotes are the best.... Being posioned won't kill you, but it can take you down to 1 HP. What i do some times is to use the relax skill to regain HP to try and offset the posion.
Your doing the raider quest..... If i remember right the spiders are of no concern they aren't agro...Ether are the betrayers, you just have to watchout that you don't pull more then one betrayer.
the area you should be in is WEST of the road between gludin and dark elf village (go all the way to the coast and look for dark succubi, they are in the same area), i think in the area where it actually says "spider nest". note that on both sides of the road a message will pop up saying you have entered the spiders nest, make sure you're in the right nest.
Are the spiders one of those mobs that are aggressive at night and passive during the day?
I seem to remember that, but it may be in a different area.
I believe those are certain bats, in the Ruins of Despair and other places. I have never heard of the effect working on spiders.
Oh, antidotes come in two forms; antidote (green leaf) and greater antidote (green vial.) Both can be purchased at magic/grocery stores. I believe the leaf works for the spiders near level 20. You need the greater one for the spiders in the Cruma Swamp tho.
The Aracnid Trackers are always aggro and are in the area for the Orc quest. I think I remember the succubus being aggro too. The location from the other people posting is what i remember also, West to the coast and at the foot of the mountain range. As warned above, beware pulling more betrayers than you can handle..they are social, and if you start killing spyders,,they seem to re-spawn pretty quickly.
I like the area as the spyders give good xp and cash. If you have time..get the quest from the NPC in DEV. I had my Orc there for some time, but used SOE to get to village and ran {as only the swift footed Orc can} back to the area for the repeatable quest. Trackers, Poison, and Prowlers will give the claws for the quest. Trackers and Prowlers are aggro/social in the area. You can also obtain the claws from the spyders in the Neutral zone accross the river.. :)
Yeah, I found them, but it seems a little hard to isolate one. If you step close to one who's separated, another walks over. Oh well, I guess I will just have to be very patient and watch them for a while.
Once you complete the quest...... And you may think i'm crazy here. Go back to elmore to level. At level 20 you still have 4 levels of new player buffs you can use up and there are still mobs that are light blue/green to white there for you.
Once you hit level 25 in elmore then head back to the mainland.

I do think you're crazy. The newbie helpers aren't just in Elmore, why go back to get the buffs when he can get them an a better area?
