A thanks to Artisans/Warsmiths

There it is, I said it. :p

I already have a descent lvl Bounty Hunter(49). I'm seeing her to be the most useless toon in my inventory. She now is my toon that I log in when I'm bored and I wanna go and run some trains, before I delete her.

I was always in awe by the Artisans and their ability to craft.
So I rolled myself another Dwarf just about a week ago. Made it an Artisan. Got me a recipe for Dss and Dbsps. And started to craft them.

Very quickly, I realized just how bad Crafting SS sucks. You run around looking for cheap D crystals. Then you get the Soulore/spirit ore and take forever to craft since MP reqs are so **** huge per shot craft. I dressed her in Demon robes for more mp. Well that just meant I had to wait longer for the mp to recover....great.

Anyway, I think I'll be deleting this dwarf too soon. As now I know the real price Dwarfs pay for being able to craft stuff.(especially the SS)

Point of this thread is not to Bash on Dwarfs but to praise them for their dedication to the time and effort they spent on creating the SS/SPS/BSpS that everyone take for granted. That is a one very **** hard(not really, but you know what I mean), annoying and time consuming function of the game.

I just want to Thank all the crafter dwarfs who craft these items so I can simply come, buy however many thousands(who knows how many hours they spent crafting them  ) of them that I need and go on exping. You guys/gals deserve a kudos for playing such a gimped class. Not only is your ability to XP sucks, but also the MP requirements for crafting SUCKs and that's not even taking into account the thousands upon thousands of mats needed to be gathered for weapon crafts, etc.
Hey, but we got the "increased money making abilities" for all that burden ;)

*goes away to hide in a corner and cry*

Ironic Kitten
Yeah, we do...and NCSoft keeps "blessing" us with mediocre skills. They won't even give us higher mana gains.

But still, we can fight pretty decently. Not overly fast, but we get there.
You know... when I see a BSS shop with 120k SS in it.. I can't resist to think the guy probably didn't suffer at all making them.

I'm not bringing the awful topic back but remember that crafting ss was the very first thing to be automated and still prolly is.

PreGG clicking macro/softs and now ... you know.

When I was making DSS to make me a mithril dagger in C1 I had to compete with them and it was kinda hard mentally. Auto refill - auto WH... while I had to come click - wait the regen - come back for clicking. I even had an alarm at one point, ringing every 12 mins or so. But what a blast when someone came and bought 15k DSS. We were like whoooaaaa.

It's the only thing I'd agree to automate in game. First because SSs are almost mandatory to level now. Secondly because they're really a pain to make.
And last because it'd be the only advantage WS 'd have.
Another suggestion for that would be to get XP while crafting. After all when you use a skill a lot you supposedly become better at it.

SSs are the reason I made an SE. You can put 7 recharges in a macro (you have to add a /delay 3 if I remember well.) I used the 15th line to tell "@recharging %target finished" so I know when to press F8 again without having to even look at the box. That way you quadruple your mana pool. I have about 1k, the SE 2.5 and the time he spends them we both regen about 500.

A few months ago I saw a post about a dorf having made a mil SS and being proud... So I made 1.3 mil (I still have 300k left lol) Gosh that was a stupid decision. Took me almost a week and something like 50 mils in ore and crysts. I earned a bit of money tho. Now when someone is asking for ss craft I usually open a 1a shop.

Ty for the thanks tho. Good to hear.

i remeber spending 8 hours a day 5 days a week crafting SS to afford my B grade
if i knew then what i know now i prolly wouldnt have crafted them even for myself, its just not worth the effort

question is where do they all go? (http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/1482/lmillionss4mt.png)
It's a shame that you're thinking of deleting a dwarf that is about to hit one of the most valuable spoils of the midrange levels. I got a 2nd BH to 52 for one reason and one reason only, to spoil animal bones.

At 52 I have spoiled 8000 animal bones in a week quite easily. You can sell them if the price is right (currently 1100a+ on Sieg) or just stockpile them as virtually every craft needs bones. Add some manor in while you do them and you are looking at a tidy sum.

True, it isn't the most exciting way to play but it can be very profitable.

As for the SS crafting, I craft all my own and it can be a pain. I made 135K A:SS and 135K B:SS just the other night. I dread to think how much MP that took. Luckily I rolled two rechargers as well, which lightens the burden somewhat.
Thanks for your kind words, I'll take them over to my WS which is 62 for now.
It sucks to lvl it, but with BigBoom and Mechanic Golem it was fun and easy. Than the C4 Hammer crushed upon us and now it's a pain in the back.
I can easy lvl at white and yellow mobs with my Golem (+Buffer), but I only can afford it cause of crafting mass SS.

I have a specific amount of SS/BSPS I craft, not more, not less so I always know how much mats, money I need and I nearly know how long it takes to sell all the stuff. The surplus is great, but it also means two full 8 hour days per week I can't play, just sit on my back and craft. Than it's annoying to see how some people try to underprice you permanently only cause they seems to got the crys cheaper, otherwise the time of crafting isn't it worth.
But the amazing amount of MP one need to craft S SS/BSPS, A SS/BSPS is so crazy that it's not worth to craft them at a higher amount. Another point is that one always need to look out for cheap A/S crys. I stay crafting my C/B shots so I always know that two days of p(l)aying are nearly wasted time, hearing others in ventrillo pvping or xping :(

But in the end, I would never get so far without my beloved sweet cute WS.

* I bought an Doom Robe set for crafting (just needed the Tunic/Stockings cause I had Doom Heavy anyways) and it's great having more MP and a much faster MP regen, but it's still hurts and take time.

I 1000% hating automated shots farming crafters and I fell offended if a >not so nice person< sets up a cheaper shot near me with the title: "Buy from not-farmer" or somthing like this. And I am close to explode when I see it's not an Warsmith which is sitting there.... :(

ah the glory of being a money making class
2 days for xp and 1 for adena

nothing worse than haveing the neighbourhood elf set up next to you with "cheaper than>>>" as a shop title
selling cheaper than you because they broke their staff overenchanting useing the adena earned from hunting while we try and recoup our loses

what i made while camping raid bosses on my second account (http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/6008/myass8jm.jpg)
Your welcome!! and Thank you!

Looking forward to being of service for your future crafting & material needs. :)
If you're on Bartz, you can find BarnesAndNoble in his usual spot.

Actually, BarnesAndNoble was brought into this world because the dwarf class has 1 more slot than anyone else - because I was in EV (c1), and needed to sell more books.

I will have to agree with the OP - crafting DSS/DBSPS can be a pain. Once you get to 40, put Divine/Crystal Staff on your WS, you will have a bigger MP pool. I don't sit and wait for the MP to regen - I go do other things, and when it's full, I make 11K CSS at a pop - doesn't take too long to make 100K, with little 'actual' work. Mind you, at the prices I sell for, there is NO profit in it, but that is my choice.

One thing you can also do is craft while you hunt - the only other thing you could use your MP for is stun lol, so just bring some ore & crystals with you, and make sure you don't go over 50% weight.

WTB SOV Blades...
as a glutton for punishment I just helped my firend dorf hit 62 last night. He commented with crafting shops how do I make money. I said SS. He cried when I informed him about the other reaosn I rolled a SE dual box for recharges and still run out of mana.
A dwarf had a shop up in Dion last week with a title LF recharges, I joined group and recharged for a while because I was bored, but she will ripped through mp like nobodies business. Then we were both sitting and regening. Tough job :)
@ThomasCovanent
Hunting and crafting isn't any good solution after LvL 62+ I think, cause one need MP for Spil (to Tank for the Golem) or Stun to take over aggro or stop the mob for killing the machine whcih can't be repaired or healed.

My main char and my WS are on the same account, that's a big problem. Starting another one at another account isn't any option for me.

@nameless1
I am just annyoed that people call me farmer but they don't know how much time I am spending with craftings....

well thats how i got my good reputation
when ppl see me selling SS they know 90% of the time im still at my keyboard clicking that **** button
That's sorta why I gave up on crafting ss. You'll see me in "crafting alley" in Giran, in craft store. You'll know it's me because I'm sporting a conversion [censored] and bw robes. ^^

conversion [censored] and bw robes. ^^

Wth did you do to your conversion lol
see that all the time when someone tryes to spell homu with an extra o, if you know what i mean
well, what i used to do with my warsmith was keep the craft window open when grinding. I never really used much of his mp for anything else so it would charge while grinding, you can turn out a ton of SS in no time.

Exactly. Also for long parties you can craft shots and arrows for the party, to avoid downtime.
