I am in the middle of doing "Fate's Whisper" quest for subclass, and I have already done "An Arrogant Search" which is required to visit Baium. Now, I had 9 blooded fabrics in my inventory, and I went back to see Magister Hanelin and she said something like, "What do I need 9 fabrics for, be gone!" And then An Arrogant Search got aborted. I still have the 9 blooded fabrics in my inventory. Does anyone know if I can still visit Baium without having "An Arrogant Search" quest?
I petitioned, and I received what looked like an automated response. They said, "Oh we don't help with player questions, visit these forums." I really need to know the answer to this because "An Arrogant Search" is rather time consuming and I'd rather not redo it if I don't have to.
If you would continue the quest, you would get A-Wepon Parts for Red-Fabrics and new White-Fabrics
You can port in without having the Quest.
Isn't it top B? Cannot remember...
Anyway - yes, you can port in without having the quest, as long as you have at least one blooded fabric. Actually, if you had chosen then other quest path ("I want to meet the Emperor"), the quest would have ended after the first blooded fabric (i.e. it would have disappeared from your quest log), leaving you only with the fabric itself.
That's why most people who regularly want to raid Baium choose the "I want to make money" path - you get ten blooded fabrics, which you then can use for raids, instead of having to do the quest each and every time.
But if you ever go back to the quest NPC when you still have some blooded fabrics left after using one or more for visiting Baium, and no white fabrics anymore, the quest NPC will insult you, give you a pitiful amount of money (like 10-20k adena) and the quest will be removed. You cannot get new white fabrics as soon as you used up even one of the blooded ones.
Classes that have completed the third class transfer can now receive the ingredient item rewards when repeating the An Arrogant Search quest by oneself
