I have a Scavy and currently trying to spoil a rec from some mobs in OB. However spoil rarely lands on these mobs, and they are all either green or white to me. I currently have lvl 3 spoil, but It doesnt seem to work to well. Is there any secret? Is it like the soul crystal quest where it works best when mob is at 50% health. Cause if mobs just dont spoil that often, that is jacked up... only mobs that spoil consistently are either in the necros/cata's or mobs that spoil antidotes... Anywho, any help is appreciated.
No secret. The higher your level of spoil the better, but sometimes it just takes a long time to spoil something. I spent 3 days spoiling a recipe once :(
This simply means the spoil 'hit'. Higher level spoil lands better on higher level mobs. Anything below yellow usually lands a spoil unless you are close to the next level of spoil. In which case mobs of the same level needed for the next spoil start to 'resist' the old spoil.
2)The mob turns blue and you can sweep for an item.
This is where L2 takes a dump on Spoilers. The vast majority of mobs either spoil seldomly (Turn blue about 1/20 or worse) OR they spoil junk like antidotes. There are a usually a few mobs in level range that have fair to good spoils, but they are in the minority. The only thing to do is try each mob and move on to a different mob if the spoils suck. Sometime you may want to stay on a mob for a rare spoil....but often its not worth it.
And unlike #1, once the mobs level turns blue, they take a big hit in the chance to actually 'flash blue' and sweep items. (Basically the same penalties as you do for other drops based on your level vs the mob level.)
You can not spoil something there meaning "mobs do not turn blue" or meaning you do not get a message "The spoil condition had been activated"?
Remember, when you activete the spoil is just unlocing a new drop tables, then you got to wait for The Random to turn in your's favor. Also, there are same penalties for spoils as there are for drops. Chance to get something from deep blues is extreemy low.
I think you have the wrong informations, according to my knowledge its "Valley Treant Elder(53)", "Marsh Drake(55)" and "Halingka(55)" where the Spiritshot B-grade(B-SPS) spoils from.
If you are looking for Blessed Spirigshot B-grade(B-BSPS) it's "Harit Lizardmen Warriors(53)" and "Malruk Succubus(55)" they spoils from.
I see that you are talking about "Turek Orc Supplier(27)"..... so I think you are talking about D-BSPS and not B-SPS :)
If thats correct, then yes, the Turek Orc Supplier is the correct mob, for that recipe.
Also you could try to spoil it from the "Basilisk(28)" in Wasteland, they have only 1xHP = 800+ HP and much easier to kill, because the "Turek Orc Suppliers" have 2xHP = 1600+ HP.
Make one reasonable suggestion/contribution to another thread and listen to the crickets chirp....but make ONE little typo late at night while tired, where the actual intended word is fairly easily to deduce from context and I spawn a cottage industry in comments and discussion....
I have indeed gotten the recipe off both the Basiliks and the Turek Orc Suppliers at different times. I can't remember if it was always this way, but I'm almost certain that the spoil off the Basilisks was added in a later chronicle and that the suppliers were the only reliable source before the change.

Wow... I read this post when the 3rd reply was on it, and haven't been on forums since that. Thanks for all the replies/suggestions, but the recipe im actually gunning for is the Elven bow recipe. It seems the Turek Orc suppliers actually turn blue like one in 100... and I still dont get rec !!!
If you happen to be from Hindemith and have that rec, PM me in game... RCcola
You may be wondering why I want to craft such a low weapon, but I have a raid boss I duo with my girlfriends Arti, and it drops elven bow shafts every time... usually like nine... and God just doesn't shine down on me and give me top grade armors like most, so, i need the money...
Not much you can do except keep killing them then. You might try the other mobs that drop/spoil the recipe...but the ones your at now are probably the easiet to kill.
maybe on your server or maybe just for Norway, I have seen it written DSS more often than ss-d. Of course I am on Erica and we do things backwards here lol.
