I experienced this first when I got a lvl 1 Power Strike for my secondary character, a human fighter. I was only able to use the Power Strike a few times. Since then, every time I try to use it, I get a message that I'm trying to use the Power Strike om "incorrect terms". Now, I've just got high enough with my Orc Fighter to get a "Stun Attack", or whatever it's called. Same thing, I used it a few times, then I started getting messages that I was trying to use it "on incorrect terms". What does this mean? Or is this just a bug, or a prank by some nutty NCSoft programmers?
Well then, there might be a bug. I am using swords when I get these messages. Both with single-handed and double-handed. I hope some of the developers are reading these forums.
Not sure what your doing wrong...but I've never had a problem with those skills.
Usually you see a "Incorrect Target" message if you don't have a target selected. You get "Not enough MP" if you don't have enough MP...you should only see the "Incorrect Terms" if you have the wrong weapon equipped for the skill you are trying to use.
You can use stun with one handed and two handed blunts.
You can use Power Strike/Power Smash with one handed or two handed blunts or swords.
This doesnt include dual swords... you have no skills that can be used with duals unless your a glad...
Well, that's interesting, because for me, it's working with neither single-handed or two-handed sword.
Regarding the Power Strike problem with my human fighter, I'm only at lvl 8, so I'm just using the plain vanilla sword given when I created the character.

Are you trying to use it on NPCs like the pixies and treants?
Are you trying to use it on dead monsters?
Are you trying to use it inside the city?
That's all I can think of, there's little other reason you shouldn't be able to use the powerstrike. It could be you're attacking, and lagging, and by the time the computer sends the powerstrike command, the mob is already dead?

This made me think.. are you SURE you're not using the dagger that they also gave you?! ;) the sword is the weapon that looks like a stick :p
OK, I went back and checked my human fighter more closely. I had bought a weapon called a "Dagger", which looked just like a short sword. When I switched back to the Squire's Sword, the Power Strike worked. Duh.
