I want to say they are both half plate but im not 100% sure. What does this go for now days for half plate top and half plate gaiters (if it is in fact, half plate)
On Kain the top is hardest to get, about 1 mill or so, bottoms about 700k, boots 300-600, shield less than 300 since no one wants mine at that price.. lol.

half plate is usesless though.... it's less pdef and obviously less hp bonus then Brig. But brig isn't all that much cheaper either.... 4 mil for the helmet.... brig top/bottom is easy to get, but people asking roughly 1.5-2mil for the boots or gloves (which are nessary)
Actually half-plate has more p.def even despite brig's +p.def bonus.
It doesn't give extra hp though.
no actually it don't if you do the math right after some enchants are applied..
the VERY VERY small difference in any extra pdef you do get from a full half plate set vs brig doesn't make up for the weight nor the loss of the bonuses. Plus, if you manage to +4 any single part of the set you get more pdef instantly... +4 everything and you got one hell of a good D grade set...

i missed "n't" on the aren't .. sorry i ment to say they aren't nessary.. but they look **** good together... half plate stuff is more expensive.
Yes I like it better than Brig also. My artisian has all the plate recipes now except the top (half plate) and I have enough mats now to make 3 plate helments, 2 plate shields, and plate boots.
