Heya all. Just re-subbed from prelude. Playing on the teon server.
I was wondering if anybody could give me some insight as to how Warcryers fair Soloing pve and in pvp (especialy vs. archers n' casters since the census is these are the bulk of the playerbase.
I currently have a level 12 PR in the works but before I go that route I was looking for something a lil' different. I'm hoping its not a painful progression. If I go WC I figured I'd use a bow to mow thru 1-20.
Well, being the board orc lord I would have to say Warcryer is the way to go. I mean unless you want to go Overlord. :)

Oh and for a quick 1 - 20... I suggest using a cheap bow from 1 to 8 (for kiting.) Save your skill points for Drain Life (don't be tempted to spend early on other skills.) Once you have DL you can melee (with Soul Cry sometimes) and drain life every other mob for almost zero down time. Also as a Mystic you will recive Soul Shot for your newb quests, instead of Spirit Shot like other casters. That will speed up your melee. Take advantage of the newbie buffs in town.

As for pvp wise, I´m not that experienced, but at least for my lvl against archers it´s a 60/40 chance in my favour beating them. Casters usually gets owned, thanks to our high life and high m.def.

I may take you two up on the offer. Teon is plagued with gold farmers at the 12-20 areas. I'm american. Just went for teon because of the population. I work weird hrs so the siege times werent an issue. So I'll cya tomorrow more than likely.

First off, can't link to it, because even though Mistryl approves of the translator and the translations, NCSoft does not approve of the site they're posted on, so you're out of luck there.
Second, according to said translations, and to some screenshots of the penalty in action, it applies to:
2H Swords
Dual Swords
Polearms
Bows
It doesn't seem to apply to anything else though, so dual fists, daggers, 1H blunts, 2H blunt and basic fighter swords are all good to go, still.
