EAD and EWD limits?

Howdy all. got a couple of questions regarding enchanting. As of now I've +3 D-Sword of Revolution and +3 D-Duals (Artisan & Crimson). I'd like to know what are the chances of my swords turning into crystals if I try to enchant them even more?

Also i've enchanted all pieces of my d-armor to +2 (except my breastplate, that is +4). Need to know the same, if I go higher, will they break?

Sorry to ask this, as I'm fairly new to L2.

Regards.
your armor can go to +3 safely.

your weapons have a 70% chance of successfully enchanting.
+1-3=100% success on all things, but 1 piece armor
+4= 100% success on 1 piece armor
+4=66% success on everything but 1 piece armor
+5=66% success on everything
Everyone loves statistics with enchanting. My stats are OOOPS or YAAAYYY depending on what happens after the click.
ty for the replies, yesterday i had my d-grade mithril gaiters to +2 when i tried to make them +3 they broke (was kinda upset cuz it did cost a lot of money). after getting the adena, bought them again and as of now they are +2. i'm scared of going any higher. i dont know, since everything costs an arm and a leg i'm being hesitant, even though i'd love to go higher with my weapons and armor.
they broke at +3? :X sure of this? because going from +2 to +3 there's no risk to broke nothing... if it happened, report to a gm!

I hope you took a ss of it. If you did I want to see it, there have been rumors forever of armor breaking below +3, but they all went on myth busters and got busted!

no unfortunately i didnt take a ss, it didnt even cross my mind. but i'll try to petition it, not sure how much of a success that'll be but lets see. i was surprised myself when that piece of armor broke after trying to go for +3.
sure you weren't going +4? If A +3 item fails going +4 it gives the message "+3 itemX has failed to enchant"
"+3 itemX has been evaporated"

or something like that.
Did you have more than one EAD in your inventory? If you're lagging very badly or getting packetlosses, you can actually risk using more than one (so it rapidly goes to +3, then +4 and blows)

The enchant interface was changed in C4. It's not possible to missclick the enchants too fast or due to lag anymore.
i guess i'm just going to have to try again. i'll test +2 going to +3 on my d-mithril gaiters, i'll post the results later tonight.
thx again for all the help.
I believe you were mistaken. I have enchanted a lot of gear and never broken something before the commonly-accepted "overenchant" level, nor have I ever seen a screenshot of anyone managing it.
If you break something before +3, then you should have "+2 piece of armor evaporated" on your screen. Take a screenie and call the gms. If you didn't take a screenie... I'd still tell the GMs, but good luck getting it back.

Actually it still is, was reported on PTS, and it can still do it on some occations.

Yeah, +2's should never break unless its a bug.
all items can go +3 safely
only thing that can go to +4 safely is 1 piece armor (top and bottom)
theres an old poker saying that goes "every hand you have has a 50% chance of winning, you either win or you lose"
