Character-Confusions

Hi everyone,

I'm playing L2 since a month now and managed to get a Silver Ranger to lvl 41. The thing is that I'm actually not really happy with my character. Yes sure she does great damage but it seems that she doesn't really fit my playstyle cause i start to get bored alot while lvling. Prolly it's her slow atk speed >.<!
Now i'm trying to figure which class i could like but i don't seem to find an answer *lol*. I'd honestly prefer to play an Elf class cause i like their looks but they don't seem to be that good compared to the other races. (like humans or dark elvens for example) So i don't really mind which race it is i guess.
I can't really say if i want to play a melee class, a nuker or a supporter. I had this kind of problem in any game i played and remade my characters all the time cause they bored me. So i'm just looking for a class thats fun to play and not just a "target" -> "watch" -> "target dead" class. I like party play but i wouldn't want a character that is dependant of parties. So it would be good if it was a character that does well solo, too.

I know that i didn't really give out much informations about what i'd want. :o But thats just cause i'm totally unsure myself. :(

Thanks alot! ^^;;
a SH does well soloing and does decent good damage as well and the attack isn't slow BUT they are of course a dark elf class and considered a nuker BUT if you want a class that has a little bit of both you would probably really like the summoner b/c you can heal plus your servitor does damage & they can kill in different area's that alot of classes would need to be in a group for and I believe that they can solo very well as well :) in my opinion it sounds like you need a class that can change you and the Summoner for sure is a class that can challenge b/c you either are very good or very bad at being a summoner! (they are also the dark elf class) but research all the classes see which is said about them and then go from there.. good luck & have fun! :)
I think the problem is that if have a tendency to reroll in other games you will definitely do it in L2. Expecially when the Leveling gets tougher.

The caveat is that you are not alone and there are many players to do this. Though it will impede you from really experiencing high lvl pvp as you will probably always be low to mid lvl.

However, as long as you are having fun then no big deal. Just make sure you are in a clan that supports your rerolling. When I was a clan leader we had a player (good guy) who rerolled a lot. Didn't matter to me and oftentimes he would go back to his original character (which he eventually stayed with... it's now in the 70's somewhere).

You might want to try Tyrant as they get a lot of skills and fight rather fast.

Ther other idea is summoner of some sort as you will eventually havce to control you and the summon. Of course you have to get to lvl 40 in order to become a summoner but if you were able to do this in the short amount of time you've been playing then I can't imagine that you will have problems doing it again.

Good Luck.
yay! thanks alot for the answers, you 2.
Summoners seem interesting but i heard that they get nerved with C5...

I'd be glad to hear some more opinions/suggestions! ^_^

Thanks alot
For an odd reason i've found SK fun to play with. I know.. i know.. they arent such wanted in parties, but i loved the playstyle and it never got boring for me. Cubics are nice, hex is always useful, later on lightning strike. But meh.. you probably will hear now that nooooo for tanks :P
Have tryed ES (elf :) ), it is fun to play also - tho its not for those who sometimes like this laidback relaxed gameplay (mages, archers). It needs concentration and you gotta put a lot of attention to it. Lvling after 40 gets confusing - you dont have any new attackskills and your summons arent that though yet to give you full support. But sure - you'll have no downtime if you chose the route of summoner. But be ready for nuking your lvl 35 skills til around 50s.
My first character was a silver ranger too.. I ended up rerolling into a Warlord, lots of fun. I can solo (though slowly) but in parties, with a se and prophet only (more if i want) i can kill 30 mobs at a time without breaking a sweat. It's also much more exciting, running through a dungeon, 30 mobs chasing you, praying you make it back to the healers before you lag out and get caught by them :P
