Here is the question:
I am SH now. I understand that I can not choose ELF as my subclass. But, I can choose HUMAN.
Here is the question!!! After my human subclass reaches lvl 75 I may choose ut to 2 other subclasses; can it be ELF now???
No, Dark Elves can never choose to follow the paths of the Light Elves.
Goes with the story.
also, if you ever happened to be in the Light Elf lands and were killed, when you hit "back to town" you would actually go to the Dark Elf Village and not Light Elf village.

Hmm I wonder if this applies if you're a dark/light elf with a human, orc or dwarf subclass? i need to test that out (unless someone else knows).
yes, only you're actual race determines the race restriction. Taking a DE class does not make your chracter a DE
Edif: actually i don't think so. you also cannot take a class as a subclass if you've had that sort of class previously. IE i'm a PS so i can't choose warlock. I think the same stands regardless of race.
The subclass restrictions always apply to your main class. The subclasses do not influence each other. If you're a human, you can choose both a LE and a DE subclass, since you're still a human main class even though you chose a LE or DE first subclass. I.e. if you get to choose a 2nd subclass, it is not a "subclass of the subclass", it is a 2nd subclass of the main class.
So you neither open up new second subclass choices via your first subclass choice (e.g. if you are a DE and choose a human subclass, you then cannot choose a LE 2nd subclass), nor do you remove any options (e.g. if you are a human and choose a DE subclass, you then still can choose a LE 2nd subclass).
Yo can bypass the restriction of same class subclass, after lvling your first subclasss the 2nd one can be of the same "type" as your main eg: PP subclasses WL and then subclasses SE
or
SH subclasses Glad and then Sorcerer
Mind you, the 2nd subclass must be also 75, its just easier to create a 2nd char XP

Obviously one of you is completely and utterly mistaken...so here's a new silly question...since this is something I've been curious about myself for a long time...
HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY HIT 75 WITH A DE AND/OR LE AND THEN HIT 75 WITH A SUBCLASS IN ORDER TO VALIDATE THEIR OPINION HERE?
Because my guess is no...at least no one that's bothered to post on the subject.
I'm inclined to think it wouldn't work...but I haven't the faintest idea since my sub is only at 62...I'll get back to you in 6 months.
