Support - the non cola

What in the world?

I made a petition stating that the lag is very bad, that it is nearly unplayable and within nearly 60 seconds I get a cut and paste reply that there are no server side issues.

Do the GMs think I'm stupid? 60 seconds to check it? I'm not kidding, the petition handleing time was awesome considering that when I made the petition that there were 16 petitions ahead of mine.

That was a bad joke and I feel that my concerns were of no importance to the staff of NCSoft. I made a petition, I'm susposed to make a support ticket that will most likely end up lining a bird cage somewhere in a matter of minutes of the ticket being made.

Two main points, the lag today is very bad on Sieghardt. The GMs took my concern and threw it out the window within approx 60 of me making the petition.

I made the petition under lag issues and recovery. I also explained that I don't care about my XP lost due to the lag but I would like the server reset or at the very least look into the problem.

That was a very very stupid reply to my petition; atleast give it 30 mins then cut and paste. Who is working there today? The cut and paste king?
Not to sound smart but that's how things work usually. If someone before you asked about the lag, they checked into it and was told the servers are fine, it doesn't take more than 60 seconds to tell you it's not the servers, because they already know it's not the servers.
well when the server is running perfectly fine and your lagging, its your computer and not their problem

guess I didn't say how my other alliance members were all gathering around different spots waiting for the lag shower to stop. I ventured out and like a [censored] I thought NCSoft would listen.

This attitude from NCSoft is unlike the attitude of when they were on the west coast - I know some of the ppl are the same but there's something going on.
Greetings,

I blame the Internet. It belongs to SirE, so just complain to SirE if you are experiencing lag.

Yeah something is going on but probably not the servers. I had clannies complaining about the lag spikes all last night and I was running perfectly fine. Go fig.
well
if youre not in US territory, you will almost certainly lag.
Theres seems to be some problems with routers, I dont know exactly what, but theres a lot of topics on this issue on technical forum.

A lot of ppl already quit because of the lag, and it really seems its not NC fault, but their ISP problem...

SirE, heh?

/me looks around for SirE

It couldn't possibly be him, could it?

hehe.

I logged back on, my clan members are either in Giran checking out the shops, sitting in clan hall, or on teamspeak playing CS.

I think I'll write that letter now that I'm less hacked off and ask for my 12 - 14 hours worth of useage back that I was going to put into day - hate that, had a nice day planed, day off work, wife is out with her girl friends, the child is spending time with his grandparents . . . I'm wasting my time complaining about something that wont get fixed until a later time.

It's hard to beat time when you can actually sit at the computer and not get interrupted. I even have 20k shoulshot in the warehouse; spent like two day of game time getting ready so that I could sit and play play play.

/let me cry a river - better yet, where's my note pad - it seems like a busy day for NCSoft when they're too busy for their customers. But they hammer alot of forum accts today.

I like that thought process of their's, when I have someone that I pay to do a job and when that job is done and my customer cannot use the end result I fire them. Guess I'll start telling my customers that it's the suppliers fault so they have to live with it --- though, I had better have more customers lined up or another job to fall back on.

Believe it or not NCsoft isn't responsible for everything from your game client on your computer, to your modem, to your ISP, the ISP's routers, the routers not belonging to your ISP that get you to their servers.

BTW 14 hours of wasted game play, even if this were their fault, that's like what... 50 cents?

oh, you're one of those types of people. Is that how much your time off is worth? 50cents?

My luxury time off is actually very valuable and limited - I work 40+ hrs a week, work around the home, have a family and have a hobby called L2. I hate to have a limited resourse wasted and my luxury time is limited to when I can schedule it.

As far as the auxiliary support that is required to run a business, unless NCSoft is going to oen their own ESP and provide all that goes with it then they will have to shop around and find a suitable means to ensure that the comidity that they are selling is actually usable.

There was a company that had an awesome idea, everyone in the world wanted the itme in their home. It wasn't teh company's fault that did not have a reliable means to get the item to everyone's home. Seem like a lot of passing the buck. Sure it may be a great undertaking, but if you want to be sucessful then you have to make things happen - word here being want, currently the want is not there.

Its what kills large corporations, a small loss is acceptable if we don't have to do anything extra to keep most of what we have - over time the small loss continues and the business is lost to continued downsizing . . .
No, my point was that you pay 15 bucks a month for this game, and breaking it down into how many hours you missed is going to make any compensation for a few hours be worth a few coins.

They aren't going to recompense you for what how valulable you FEEL you time off is.

QFT. And besides, you still get your day off and you don't lose any of that valuable time. You can just use it more productively, or non-productively as you see fit.

I Agree that super crazy lag is horrible, but NCSoft doesn't own the internet. They cannot guide your connection to thier servers. Somewhere between Texas and the East Coast/Europe there is faulty hardware, or misconfigured software. But in no way should this be tagged onto NCSoft.

My cat stepped on my finger that was on my mouse button making me run to a pile of aggro and dying. I blame NCSoft. They should make me quintiple click before running near anywhere that is dangerous.

your's sounds like a personal problem - NCSoft does not require your cat to be in this world for them to be able to do business.

Though, they require the ISPs to do their job inroder to do business. If NCSoft needed your cat inorder for their game to be available to their customers then it would be a part of their business to ensure that your cat was in good working (of finger mashing) shape. Otherwise, they are giving you the expectation that their game is in the required condition to be able to market and charge for its service.

it's a business

everyone else that doesn't see it may way, go back to doing what ever you were doing lol (it's a joke) hehe

no, it's a customer if they continue to express themselves in the manor as I have experienced it.

you're showing your business experience or lack there of - and we are discussing business pratices

he lagged out and will not be in today.
So you're saying you are going to present NCsoft with a bill for a couple hundred dollars for your missed pleasure time? I'm clearly confused.

My business sense may be faulty but I'm not sure on what planet you would get awarded above and beyond actual lost value, unless you're claimng pain and suffering XD
