I didnt want to ask questions about the manor so i searched threads and read up on it. I knew the bots ran the animal bone market and probably the varnish so I went ahead and looked for some other stuff that may be useful.
So, I went to gludio and noticed that they had a red coda that gave back reward 2, Thons.
I thought, hey, cool, thons are good and no one seems to be touching them. So I go get a few hundred seeds planted and gathered and come back to reap my huge reward of a few hundred Thons, I was pumped.
I turned in 240 plants and got 19 thons.
I thought everything was a 1:1 ratio? I dont understand this at all, please advise. At 300 a seed x10 plants =3000 adena plus i get no adena and no drops from the mob i killed to get that plant, what a waste.
all the matereals got a "npc value" the matereals are given according to the npc value. For example varnishes npc value is 200a. Mase cost for astofe is 6k.
the main profit you get from manor is the diference between npc value and market value. For bones, for example that difference is 10-20 times more at market at different servers.
And you do get adena from mobs, asw ell as seal stones and quest items. You just dont get regular drops.
ok, that seems a lot more fair, thank you. I am use my dwarf to plant the seeds but I do it around an area where i can spoil leather easily but it also has mobs that have crappy mat drops and i just farm them :))).
So, time to find something I can use...hmmm lots of D grade armor uses a cord and braided hemp that arent used as much at higher level...will have to check those crops and see if i can run a decent D crystal market mmm
if you are around mid 20th, check out the Ork Baraks. There are allot of spoils of low D parts for your's crystal market =)
I am around 37 and can use 33-38 level seeds. Unfortunately, it just so happens that is the level where animal bones and varnish really come out so the bots buy out all the crops.
The amount of materials you get is roughly:
[(Buyback Amount * Number of Crops) * 1.1] / Base Value of Reward Material
So assuming you had 200 Blue Cobol and the Rewards was set to #2 Thons at a Buyback value of 250a you would get the Following: (Thons has a base value of 6,000a)
To make money at the manor you have three things you have control over.
1) Spend less on seeds than you get in Rewards.
2) Sell end mats at higher than base value.
3) Get more Fruits than you had seeds to start with.
Each of the above is a Multiplier not just an additive. Thus the higher each one is the more money you make. A heavily used manor and a Manor Lord squeezing his market can make the manor hard or unprofitable to use. Pay attention that your making a decent profit....and if your not, let the Lords seeds rot until a Lord with a clue takes the castle. Its not worth your time to slave out meager profits if the manor lord is selling enchants at 1000x their base value...or if there is absolutely no market (Or you have no need) of the only materials for which seeds are available. (Yes I know there is a demand for Enria....but at 200a buyback I'd rather have Charcoal!)

FYI - Some seeds will sow up to 10 levels higher than their stated level easily. They won't go UNDER their level but they will go above. Some even do better if you go higher, others are barely worth it even in their range with out some strenuous effort.
hmmm good good i got the timing down perfect so i bought out todays chilly cobal supply and am confident that i will be quick enough to sell them in that split second at least every now and again
Ahh where are my manors, forgot to thank ye for that long descriptive post, thank you!
