Im probably one of the players who plays since NACB and which has a 77/78/xx character and plays the end-game (unlike you playing forums end-game) and which gets affected by what has been posted here today in all the threads that got deleted. assuming you play bartz, as this originated in bartz section of blah. But lionna is currently, high end game that is, owned by two RB farmer clans, middle RB owned by a third. Top two RB farmer clans are actually housed in opposing alliances now. Middle one is in no alliance. All are level three or above, and well know farmers. Bartz isn't the only server with these kind of issues.

I've seen some posts get deleted that really had no reason to. There was this one post about wallpapers and somewhere in there someone mentioned nudity as distasteful, so I began debating about why nudity should not offend and such. Anyway it didn't take long for the post to get locked. We didn't break any rules, we didn't mention religion, polotics, or sex. It was locked for no good reason.

Since open beta, yes. And depsite having no char in the 60s, I still know something about the game and taking actively part in it.
Yes, every nuker of lvl 60+ can kill me, but that does not earn them my respect.
Yes, if one of the alliances on Gustin decides, that I am KOS, I will get killed over and over, without having a chance of retaliation, but that does not earn them my respect.
Coming on the boards and calling people brown noser, does not earn my respect.
Respect is earned by how you act, not by how fast you level, be it in game or board levels.

Schmuse sofar I have only see you and DarkMotion give comments back on the way people are posting here and ignoring the message they are trying to get accross, how about you share with us your opinion on the raid boss farmers, the botters and general farmer issue that plagues this game ?
Constructive feedback on the bigger issue at hand is much more appreciated then discussing boardwarrior forms & ethics.

Where did anyone of the big posters (1000+ posts) say, that they liked farmers ? I do not like farmers, I do not like botters and I also do not like account sharers. Just ban them all, I wouldn't care.
And if you call me a brown noser, cause I follow the rules in game AND on the board, so be it, but do not expect me to respect your precious 75 lvl and subclass. That just takes time to get.
I wonder how many of you guys, who are spamming the board these days cause of the farmers are using shared buff-bot accounts... Oh dear.. That is illegal, you know ? Better ban those accounts together with the botters.

What you could do is: Accept the fact the the Playerbase that doesnt regularly share tea with all you people on the official board need to get in contact with GMs, Customer support and Moderators of L2. We face problems in the highlevel segements of this game that needs to be fixed.
And if Illa calls someone with over 5000 postcounts on the one hand and a level thirtysometing character on some deserted sever on the otherhand who wants to give us lessons how to deal with NCSoft names, it is PERFECTLY fine with me.
Common. You play since OB, run a fansite and have a character that made it to Aden by foot, you know what we are talking about. If not, remain silence Id say.
Once again, we dont want to deal with the "Official Board TreeHugging Club (TM)", we are here to get things done.

Draecke, my posts and suggestions about how to effectively fight the farmers and botters are so old already, that they fell off the board due to the automatic archiving system.
My best bet to fight farmers and botters is to create a strong encryption key handshake between ORIGINAL client and server.
The bot-programmers may be good, but I doubt, that they can easily break a 128 bit encryption.
As far as what should be done:
- Ban every account, who ever sold or bought adena.
- Ban every account, who was shared just once. Yes, that includes all the precious buff-bot accounts, which I know many large alliances have.
- Ban every account, that is trying to access the game without the above mentioned encrypted key handshake between client and server.
However I am bugging NCsoft about such topics while still following the board rules. That helps with not getting my posts or threads deleted.
The other way is to write mails to Mistryl or HGMSpam, which so far were all answered within a working day (Well, that may come from the fact, that I am treated as press representative, but who knows).
Your message is not what I blame. It is the way in how you present your message and how you (not you personally, but some of the recent spammers) are treating the people, who know more about these boards than you do (same as you prolly know more about sieging than I do).
And btw... I have been forum banned once for about 2 weeks and since then I am taking great care of what I say and how I say it. It does work.

Actually... Quite a few people post here. Evidenced by the startling amount of posts whenever I log on and read the boards every day.
Some of them make points, others do not. Some of them like to just come in and throw around insults. Which, I might add, makes them look like ignorant fools best kept in their redneck, inbred shacks in the hills.
Only reason the main community even bothers to post here is because it is the "only" place where you can get the GMs attention to some extent.
I tend to get GM attention in better places. Like, say, emailing support. That seems to work for me every time. Or /gm with a well-worded petition. I'd say I have a 98% return rate on petitions.
However /rant usually gets printed out and posted on the break room wall for the admins to laugh at.

You were calling DM an idiot and making false assumptions.
You told DM to go spend some time in game, so maybe he might reach lvl 70.
To that I was replying, that neither lvl 70 nor 5000 posts make up automatic respect and to that I stick. I have more respect to a lvl 20 honest player and to a person with only 10 posts, than I got for some ignorant person, who believes, that people below lvl 70 or below 1000 posts are not allowed to have an opinion.
To you, level seems to be everything. To me "playing the game" does involve getting from lvl 59 to level 60 the way *I* want to get there. If that takes me a couple months, so be it, that is MY decision.
Getting to lvl 60 or 70 or 80 faster does in no way make me a better person.
Same goes for high post counts. I got my 1700 posts here and the 3000 posts on the german board by posting suggestions, answering questions and commenting on other peoples suggestions or general discussions.
Once again, I do agree with your message ("Get rid of the cheaters"), but I do not like the way you deliver the message and how you treat other people, who are "less respectful" in your books, just because they are not working on the second subclass by now.
You want the in game rules enforced and to accomplish that, you are breaking the board rules... Is it so hard to understand, that that cannot work out ?
