Ok i play a BH since a long time and in fact you ppl might not know spoiling enchants its not that common means it does not happen often. Well i had some good times in c1 in cruma swamps on toad lords spoiling a lot EA D but thats it.
Since this share spoil by turn i could track my enchnat spoils very well because they dont happen to me often.
Ok this is what i spoiled so far over a long time 6 EW C, 2 EA B and 2 EW B and guess what i did not get even one. Not a single one !
Even when only with one other person i never received a enchant from my spoil skill. Sometimes it happend i spoiled the enchant and a 2nd item but i did not receive the enchant even when i was in turn.
I also tryed to hunt alone and farm some but guess what that spoil did not happen.
So whats wrong with it ? I often got mad because of it but now i know its not meant that the BH get the enchant.
Oh and its not me only i know 2 other BH that say the same thing.
Spoils of rare items seem to come in waves; I often get none for a long time, then get several in a short period of time. You should party with clannies or friends who agree to split the loot fairly. If you are in a pick-up party, things don't always work out well.
Well this is not really a solution because most ppl dont want to share and im mainly forced to party else its kill 3 mobs sit 15 mins. Plus what you do if the person wants to use the enchant ? Let him pay say 1 mil that he can use a EWB he got from partydistribution through my skills?
Beside that is a really anoying problem that discourages real players to play BH even more.
My policy when I take a BH into a party is that we do not take BHs that are not trusworthy, that loot is set to By Turn, thus not including spoil, and that the BH is expected to share part of his or her bounty when the party breaks or when he or she leaves.
If a BH runs off with the spoils after one group, that's disgruntling for me, but it has ruined something that all dwarves ought to be dependant on, and that BHs still to some degree rely on: Their reputation.
If it's a group with a clan and their BH, the BH obviously gets to keep all their spoils.
If it's a flat up duo with a BH, the BH gets to keep all spoils and I manor.
Find a group that will let you work out an individual policy - these people will be more grateful for your services in the long run, and always happy to see you back.
