hi there i havent started playing but im getting there.i wanted to know wich is the best orc class to solo with and wich is the best to group with. im definetly sure i want to be an orc so dont go saying so and so is a better soloer bla bla bla.
Orcs rock my friend. I have an all Orc clan so I'm very biased. hehe All of the Orcs have something unique to bring to the table.
Destroyer-good to solo or group with. Not very good at 1vs1 pvp because of slow movement.
Tyrant-good to solo or group. A bit more expensive to play since weapons are fist only and can be a bit hard to find. Brings alot more skills to use then a destroyer and can be a bit more complicated. Good in pvp or pve.
Warcryer- good to solo due to single target spells. Can always find groups because that is what he is created for, groups. Good in both pvp and pve.
Overlord- hard to solo after lvl 55. Made for clans as most buffs are alliance wide. Sometimes hard to find groups because of being misunderstood by most players. OL is a crowd control, debuffer with back up healing power. He is one of the most powerful pvp players in the game. Not many can beat him in 1vs1 and he is a monster at castle sieges.
Hope this helps and if you creat a character on Sieghardt I'll try to hook up and give you some Orcish guidance. :)
I like knuckle users (monks/tyrants) because there arent many about as far as I can see (2 days playing)... And so far I level fast, though I fly thru soulspirits (Upgrade your attack).
I'd guess either of the melle classes are the best for solo'ing as there mystic classes seem to be geared more towards buffing group members.

Ya, Destroyer suck at 1vs1, they start going good at 1vs3. Since ur from Sieg, go ask around some ZH guys about gettin 1-shoted by a Titan with bop :P
Not so long ago our clandestro hited 2 crits in a row, both for 8k+ damage (Buffed +bd +sws +selfbuffs/toggles). For the first guy it was a 1-shot, the 2nd must have about 100hp left, a singe hit from a dorf wiped him out.
For the OP, if ya wanne play an Orc, go Destroyer. Its prolly the best melee class right now, good in single target, good in aoe, loved in groups and still strong in solo. He got extreme powerfull selfbuffs and some kind of future. Tyrants will maybe nerfed hard in C5, Destroyers will kind of nerfed, but also boosted (lesser power with bows with frenzy, but more than now with 2h weapons)

I don't understand why Tyrants are always crying about super Fast consumptions of SoulShots.
Since I'm at work right now, I don't know the soul consumption by Fists in D/C grades, but I know in B/A grade it's 1.
Compared that to an Archer, where in D they are 7 SS per arrow, to 10 SS per arrow in C, where it finaly starts to drop down in B and A grade a more manageable figure. Still though, an Archers has to wait for the 1SS per arrow only when he hits S grade.
Plus unlike an archer, an orc being as strong and fat as they are, carry a hell of a lot of SS than any other class (Save Dwarfs) can.

Because they attack faster (Fist Fury etc.) they hit more times per minute than other melee chars.
Solo its a bit of a non-issue, but in a group this means that the Tyrant uses more SS per kill than anyone else spamming them, and thus also spends more in adena on shots.
For example. A group of tank, dagger and Tyrant are in a field. It takes 10 seconds to kill a mob, and each char takes the following number of swings. (Assuming B grade 1 SS consumption and a 60a cost...)
(Combined it takes the following #of swings for each kill)
Tank = 4 Swings (Sword/Blunt - Normal attack speed)
Dagger = 6 Swings (Dagger - Very Fast)
Tyrant = 8 Swings (Fist - Normal + Self Buffs.)
Tank - 240a spent per kill.
Dagger - 360a spent per kill.
Tyrant - 480 spent per kill.
Over a period of time this can really add up. Wether or not the Tyrant actually does more or less damage per kill is irrelevant in terms of cost...all that matter is that he swings more times per kill and thus spends more adena than anyone else if everyone is spamming shots all the time.
The main issue with Tyrants is they have plenty of self buffs that increase attack speed, so even though fists have a lower base speed than daggers, they can actually in practice exceed the attack speed of the daggers. This is actually balanced as the Tyrant has a much lower crit rate with fewer crit increases than Daggers get.
One other quick quiestion though. In the scenario you showed, wouldn't it be upto the tyrant to play it "smart"? So if the group consists of all melees, to like not using a particular totem?
It's kind of the thing that I do. I can't afford an SA on my bow, so when I'm in a group without an SE/EE to recharge my MP, I don't use Rapid Shot/Alacricity/Greater Haste pots/buffs.
That way my MP doesn't get depleted quite as fast.
It isn't that simple admiral. Fist fury and passive abilities both increase the tyrants attack speed a great deal, and can't be changed. Just with those, I'm pretty sure they hit faster than any dagger user. High level tyrants usually use bison totem, which doesn't increase attack speed. If the tyrant uses puma totem (atk speed increase), those ss really fly fast.
Using puma and FF in an FoD (20 minutes) with the haste and zerk buffs and BD dance, and the haste sa on my weapon, I think I went through about 4k ssc at level 51. But it is fun having 1k+ attack speed. Its so fast, my computer skips most of the animation frames. Its like watching the character with a strobe light.

How dare you Sir!!! Fat is not something any Orc could ever claim. Just because your jealious carrying around that wimpy elf frame. lol j/k :p

You would think so....except the 'Tyranny of the Joneses" has a loud voice in the game. That is the annoying voice that says that everyone MUST level as fast as possible spamming shots and using any and all skills in an effort to reach top level because only *then* does the game 'begin'.
I'd like to think that if you were able to get a good group together that you would be able to avoid using any shots to kill mobs faster and make more adena....except this isn't what really happens. It seems like every group **** near requires that you be spamming shots constantly or you are not wanted.
And yes I have been 'asked' why I wasn't spamming shots like everyone else. Both in groups and duo...to which I can only reply:
1) I carry two sets of armor and often two sets of different grade weapons with BSPS for each. I have no weight limit left to carry regular shots. (I am an Overlord.)
2)I have no extra Money to waste on shots. (See #1)
I usually duo with the missus on her BD (I'm a Tyrant). She has B grade duals and I have A grade fists. By way of a comparison, I regularly exceed her soulshot usage by about 30-40% (both weapons consume 1 SS per hit). I use a combination of Puma and Bison, with the occasional Ogre thrown in if things get a bit hairy. In Tallum Heavy, I can attain an attack speed of 1056 with full buffs and Puma, in Doom Light it would be around 1100 and with a dagger, in excess of 1300.
I spend about 12 million every ten days making SS for the both of us, buying the Soul Ore and crystals. When I hit 72 I expect that frequency to come down to a week and gradually reduce. If I can get some high level seeds done I can still make a profit, but it is getting more and more difficult and I am having to change hunting spots so that I can do seeds without eating into my adena reserves, which aren't great.
