I heard near the end of the yr but thats a rumors. sides got aion coming out in dec for beta i think so i bet theyll hold off on l3 for a bit. But this is all hersay so dont take it to be fact.

Anyways I doubt C5 is the "last chronicle" as the game hasn't completely covered the game's lore..or something like that >.>
anyone that honestly thinkgs c5 is the last chronicle should be slapped in the face. Thats one short lived mmo to just end here. not to mention L1 is still live. So many people are never content with what we got >_<
From what I've heard, Either C5 or C6 will be the last update for L2, and L3 will take off where it ended with C7 being the expansion afterwards using the Unreal3 engine. Though I've also heard that L3 isn't a new MMORPG like the difference between L1 and L2, but just rather it'd be an upgraded L2 with the same accounts and such working. Though it's all just speculation until NCSoft officially says anything.
One is sure when Unreal 3 engine will arrive L3 will see daylight...
L2 wont end just like on c5 read lore/chaotic chronicle There r 21 chapters and it seems like 3 chapetrs on one chronicle (c7) might be wrong thats just my wicked thinking :P
Ya graphic/physics engine r awsome but they should work more on music cause there r allways some disturb in it allthough U1 was the very first one with so dynamic music that was changing to action ohhh unreal 1 geez
There will be at least 12 chronicles in total for L2. Yes they will be starting the development of L3. However, it will take them a few years to complete it and have it go live. In that time we will see the next few chronicles come out. What they mean by the last of the "chaotic chronicles" is that the first 5 are designed on the development of aden/elmore and the contest between the two. From there the chronicles will start to add the 3rd empire of the storyline (yes there is a storyline). That land being Gracia, which is said to be across the ocean to the west. Also you can most likely expect to start seeing more about the gods, especially Shillien and her trying to get free to start her war against the other gods again.
In interviews from the CEO, he has stated they will NOT stop updating and running L2 when they bring L3 out. They will continue to support ALL 3 Lineage games at the same time with each one being seperate games of themselves. This is not the end of L2, but the beginning of L3 as a seperate game most likely based on the time after L1 since L2 is BEFORE L1 (yes we're playing a prequal, go figure).
As for the dragons there will be 6 total. In the storyline (that almost no one reads), Shillien gave birth to 6 dragons, one for each of the other gods that betrayed her. So expect to see a new dragon most likely ever other chronicle based on one of the elements (earth, fire, water, wind, light, dark).
