The newbie guide says i should purchase a apprentices spellbook what are those for? I thought i trained all my spells at the temple npcs? Also do any npcs sell apprentice spellbooks?
Im really needing some of this stuff clarified or any others tips anyone knows about grinding a mage solo at lvl 10
YEs you can go the the npc inside any of the churches and buy uor spellbooxs. you need spellbooks to learn certain spells i/e icebold vap touch sheild might and so on. you wont need them for your passive skills i.e robe masteres wepon master and so forth.
Tips if this is your very first char abovle lvl 5 on the server your playing on then by all means use the newbie guid to get buffs talk to him and ask for magic help only kill stuff you can 2 shot other than that its a waste of mp. freezing strike stuff first then windstrike when you hit about 14 you can start on windlmill hill but beware of the pricks. if you can go to lik school of dark arts or elvein temple is much safer there. any other questions fell free to ask
I do believe that there might be a weapon (type spellbook) called Apprentice's spellbook, but I'm not sure: Check the library section at the left.
The NPCs at the temple carry all the books you need. :)
Yes, it is in the Misc section of weapons. It is the second worst weapon, just above the Buffalo Horn (infamous for its use in many scams.) This class of mage weapons has mostly been neglected since the high level versions were never implemented in game.
The training halls have NPCs named 'Spellbook Seller' or something now. You used to have to run to the Magic Shop to buy the books, but that was changed (in C3 ?)
Thanks for the help folks ........I have already got windstrike at lvl 3 and frostbolt at lvl 2 .....what I assumed was that no spellbook can be used on its own and that you had to buy the spell of the magistar and get the corresponding spellbook for them to be of use. Good to know about the 2 shot thing as well!
