Is Eliminating Raid Boss Farmers A Priority?

The reason why all of the farmer/botter threads are "degenerating" is because the most eggregious offenders, on all servers (the "Raid Boss Farmers") are not dealt with swiftly and effectively -- at least so far.

I suggest that NCSoft publically reassure the players that removing Raid Boss Farmers (specifically!) is a priority, , if in fact this is the case.

We, the players, are under the impression that NCsoft can ban whoever they want, for any reason or no reason -- and that NCsoft has not been taking advantage of this capability to date.

Part of our concern stems from a recent interview in which an NCsoft executive implied that his personal view is that Real Money Trade ("RMT") is a good thing, and that NCsoft would be happy to support RMT if there weren't legal obstacles to that approach. This opinion, if also held by NCSoft as a company, would greatly anger much of the community.

Actions speak louder than words.

Making statements regarding them being a priority is a waste of breath, and will in fact make NCSoft look even worse if we don't actually see them disappear to back up the talk.

I would much prefer that no one says anything at all, and tonight when I log in, they simply no longer exist.

If only people would actually READ stuff here. You wouldn't be operating under such mistaken assumptions:

From Mistryl:

There does seem to be some confusion on the garriott brothers. Richard garriott, to whom the quote is credited, is not the CEO, president, nor head of NCsoft. Richard is the Executive Producer of the upcoming game Tabula Rasa. Robert garriott is the CEO of NCsoft North America, and he did not make the statement in the interview.

Christ, I knew who Richard Garriot was back in, oh, 1984 (possibly earlier). He started (actually wrote the code for) Ultima I-III and wrote the story lines for the following episodes.
I've played this game pretty much since it's inception. I've tolerated farmers so far because there is really only two options; tolerate them or cancel my subscription. So despite farmers ruining and mucking up this game, I've hung in there.

Prelude - bots and they were everywhere, solution just don't hunt the starter dugeons
C1 - they moved into Cruma had farmer bosses to protect their bots/workers
C2 - Now moved into GC and DVC, much higher level than most players and will train you
C3- Raid boss farmers
C4- Raid all raid bosses, interfer with quests and now evidently doing events
C5 will probably own Aden castle
Gor****reedstein,

Let me be clear. The Game Master department dedicates more than the majority of its time to removing User Agreement violators from the service. There is no argument to be made here.

The Game Master team will never, ever remove an account from this service just for having a lot of complaints. (Most people would agree with this if they saw the notes on their accounts.) Just because someone complains about an account does not make an account a User Agreement Violator.

Raid Boss Farmers will not be removed from this service unless they are found violating the User Agreement. With that said we are currently working on a case related to these complaints. But keep in mind these investigation take time, and if nothing is found... nothing will be done.

You should have no concern about what any Exec (the person you are speaking has no say in policy) said about their personal lives because I would remove their account just like any other. This game does not and can not support RMT.

Thanks
