It has begun, the dark clouds gathered from a far. Standing amongst the pile of corpses, the Bugbears, Ratmen... all but lifeless corpses. Looking up at the darkened sky, the young warrior showed no expression whatsoever. It is hard to tell, if she was sad, happy, or angry.
Rain drops slowly showered her, washing the blood-stain from her armors, her cracked shield, and her dagger. She closed her eyes, and feel the rain stinged the cuts on her skin. Gripping tightly to her dagger suddenly, her eyes flung opened with fearsome gaze. So evil and dark, it is like she is ready to kill.
She wondered in the rain, her armors getting heavier as time past. Aimlessly, she begun to forgot who she was, and what her goal is. She only know what she must do to survived, kill anything and turned it into food to live off of.
For days on in, she wondered and sharpened her skills through her needs for staying alive. Once in a while, will she wondered into town to find a job to make a little bit of adena, to buy bandages and other materials she needed.
"Go talk to Samed, and I'm sure he will give you a deal for the job." Guard Curtis said. "..." the young warrior moved along.
"So Curtis send you eh?" Samed eyed the warrior. "Mm..." she nodded her head once. "Here, take this Anatomy Diagram book. You can go to either Ruin of Agony, or Ruin of Despair to hunt for parts..." Samed trailed off. "Mm..." the warrior took the book and walked away. "Wait! You need to know where they are first!" Samed called to her. "No need," her voice run chills down his spine.
She stuffed the book away, then she made her way West of Gludio Town. It took about a day travel to get there, she has been there before she can tell. Standing in front of the ruined town, she scratched her head and the fog seemed to almost thicken itself to hide this place from mortal's eyes.
She stepped through the broken door, a sudden howl of the eerie wind brushed against her. Her little ponytail flowed gently to the breeze, and the cackling sounds of something undead moved her way.
"AHAHAHAHAHA...." the shrill of the cold icy laughter near her. "Tsk..." the young warrior unsheathed her dagger and brought up her shield. Just in the nick of time as the sword of the opponent bashed down on her like lightning, its breathing are somewhat cackling yet its strength are much stronger than most living creatures can compared to.
The warrior tighten her grip on her dagger, she pushed the blade aside and strike the Raging Spartoi at full force. As one went down, another one shown up. She just kept on fighting and fighting, until none shown so she took out the book and collected what was needed.
Fast as lightning, an arrow flown by her and ripped the skin on her right cheek opened. "Kkk..." her teeth gritted tightly as the stung of the cut ached and blood run down her fair skin. Standing not far from her, a Skeleton Scout readying another arrow. She narrowed her eyes on it, with much aner dwelled up inside of her.
A flash of cold air past her by, even her hair felt a chill-over. "KAAAA..." the Scout cried before crumbling into dust. "Grrr..." the warrior rolled and growled at the figure in the mist of the fog.
"This is no place for a warrior like you to be, let a lone a mortal..." the voice filled with mockery. "Captain, there is no need for harsh words..." another voice said. "Grrr..." the warrior growled once more, with her dagger held tightly in hand. "Ahhh... no need to feel threaten, she's only here to help me." a small figure appeared close to the warrior. "Hmph..." with that, the warrior dashed off into the thicken fog inside the ruin. "W-wait...." "..."
"En, you shouldn't be too harsh just because she's choose the path of a fighter..." the small figure said with a little anger in her voice. "They are nothing but savage beasts, and they expected us to heal them whenever they needed it." the tall figure replied coldly. "Well, not all are like that. I met one while I was still in Talking Island, and she's not like that. Though, sometimes she forgot that I'm there and wondered off by herself..." the small figure looked down on the ground sadly. "Ahh... ahh... Return home and I'll make sure this one won't die then..." En sighed rubbing her forehead. "Thank you En!" the small figure jumped and give the tall figure a hug. "Would you stop doing that?" En struggled to pry the kid off of her. "Big busts..." the kid let go and looked nearly drooled. ".... ^.^;;" En didn't said anything as the kid left, only a giant sweatdrop on ther back of her head.

+(due to unable to edit my other work, i have to make a new post.)
Leaving those two figures behind, the warrior moved swiftly and silently through the mist. She made her way deeper into the ruin, where more than just skeletons walk. She stopped abruptly just to bandaged up her wound on the cheek, then she crept up the slight hill and peeked down on the other side.
Limping lifelessly, a Ruin Zombie Leader with almost greenish mold growing on it. Its head hanging, a light moaning escaped from its sagged mouth. Skin sagging on its back, leaving great flesh exposed to the flies and maggots that already attached itselves onto the walking corpse.
"..." the warrior sniffed the air. The foul stench of rotten flesh invaded her nostrils, and the left corner of her mouth twitched at she exhaled the foul stench. Putting her shield away, she gripped her onto her Curse Maingauche dagger as her eyes narrowed onto the zombie. Leaping into the foggy air, the warrior swung her hand back and brought it up as she come in contacted with her target. With precision strength, she decapitated the Ruin Zombie Leader but it still moaned softly even its head was rolling on the ground.
With a flick of her wrist, she quickly cut off the rotten thing from limb to limb. With all the parts on the ground, she pulled the book out again to see which part(s) are needed. She then carefully tucked the livers, and heart away but she didn't even flinched while doing it.
"Not bad..." En said from behind the warrior. "Grr..." the warrior growled and quickly rolled on the ground and thrown her dagger at En. Cutting through the foggy air, the dagger missed En only by an inch because she saw it coming with her acute eyesight and moved.
"Tsk... tsk..." En raised her Homunkulu's Sword up as her other hand waved slowly. Suddenly, the warrior felt as though her eyelids become so heavy and her body just gone numbed on her. Her vision, blurred and like a rock, she hitted the ground with a loud thugging noise.
"I hope she's not eating these parts that she's taking..." En said dragging the warrior away from the ruin. "Hm... what to do with this puny human?" she asked herself. "Ah..." an idea come to her, as she dragged the warrior to a tree outside of the ruin and tied the sleeping girl up.
"...." the warrior finally awoke from the unwanted slumber En had given her. "Oh, I'm glad you're finally awake..." En sit not so far from the warrior. "Argg..." the warrior struggled herself trying to get freed of the ropes. "Don't waste your energy..." En said waving her hand in the air.
"ARG!!!" the warrior growled pushing herself forward and broke all the ropes that tied her to the tree. With flaming anger in her eyes, she leaped with her right hand aiming for En's throat. En was no novice, she quickly brung her Homu up to blocked her attacker.
Surprisingly, the warrior could cared less and grabbed the blade with her left hand and grabbed her opponent's throat with her right hand like she aimed for. Blood sipped from the warrior's left hand, and dripped down on the grassy ground. With her thump pressuring onto the pressure point on En's throat, made it difficult for poor En to attempted to cast a spell or even talking.
"ARGH!" bearing her teeth, the warrior smashed her head against En's hard and knocked En unconscioused. "Hmph!" the warrior finally let go of En and got up. Taking her Cursed Maingauche back and packed her things up for another long hunt back in the Ruin of Agony.
She was about a few feet from En, suddenly she stopped and walked back to where En is still laying. "Heh..." the warrior grinned evilly, dragging En to the tree where she was tied to earlier. She then sit En against the tree, looking around for some ropes and tied En to the tree. She then kicked the Homu up near its owner, before she turned away and actually goes back to the ruin this time for real.
As soon as she stepped into the front entrance of the ruin, a Raging Spartoi, and a Tracker Skeleton Leader come at her at full force. She counter attacked them, but only caused a Skeleton Scout to shot at her from a far and a Ruin Spartoi to attacked her.
"Just my lucky day..." she grimaced finishing the Skeleton Tracker Leader. Her muscles tightened up under the pressure, she quickly fnished the Raging Spartoi to be able to dealt with the Ruin Spartoi that are swinging its Shamshir wildly at her. With her dagger, she trown the thing at the scout and put it out of its misery quickly.
The hissing air of a sharp object cutting through it buzzing in the young warrior's ears. "..." she gasped at the sound as her eyes widen with fear. She brought her shield up just in time for the Shamshir cutting down on it.
"Kahahaha..." the Ruin Spartoi laughed sickly. "Arggg..." she pushed up at it and slowly stood up face-to-face with it. The eye sockets so hallowed, the queezing breathing, and the incredible strength it pushed on against her shield.
"Kahahaha...." its chilling laughs would scared the wits out of any souls. "Heh..." a smirked appeared on the warrior's lips. She then brought her tightened fist up and sent its head rolling. She once again collected needed bones for her job.
Unbeknownst to her, a dark figure from behind smacked her on the back of her head. "..." she felt something powerful hit her. She blinks a few time before the dazed set in and blackness overtaken her vision.
"You're a handful, I swear..." the figure said and dragged the warrior away.

note: 1.young warrior as referring to a warrior char.
2. the Homu user is yes... 40+, but as indecated in first post, she was there to help another person out.
3. in writing term, always use the full name of whatever it is from the game, same with actual literture, etc... as in not to distorted the originality of the name.
4. i don't think i used the term 'hum' anywhere...
5. as in a char. that doesn't do much talking, due to her lack of interacting with civilization. (first post mentioned that she wondered around a lot, yet hardly stayed in a town unless she needed to find some kind of job to pay the for expense for certain supplies).
lastly, i'm still a novice in writing... thus this is what i attempted to wrote in trying to see how my style moves etc...
thus i take in your opinion(s), and appreciated much...
Definitely an interesting read and I applaud anyone who tries their hand at writing. :D So lets see some more!
I'm not the type of person that can "write once" and be done so to speak. I always have to read and rewrite several times just before I think it's ok. *lol* But you really have some good stuff in there. :)
The Arrg's didn't really catch my attention until it was pointed out and I understand your view and why she says that. A way you could have relayed that feeling might have been to say, "She grunted in frustration at being restrained against the tree by the ropes..."
I liked the story and would encourage you to write more!!

I agree with this guy a lot he has some good points.
krie, I understand what your tring to do, most of us have been to these places time and time again, I just find that writing out the full name of a knowen Char. takes away time from the story.
IE: first/middle/last name, most people will call someone from their first name over there last unless it's formal. Like 'king Jasper of Aden' or ' Sir holent'. See what I meen?
I can understand that your Char. may not beable to read or something..but even people not able to read can still talk. (your tring a Char. that's been abandoned in a forest deal, which not every one likes)
I totally agree that "agg" or " hmp" is fine when the Char. takes a blow to the body, or falls. I'd just like for you to make the Char. a lil more relative! But "argg" is a pirate sound. see what I meen?
Tho I think you've been very good at depicting things, and running lines and getting a feeling of the Char., but the Char. development has been lacking a tad to me, I want to know more about them, so keep up the writing!!!
uhh... you can't expect everything about the characters to be flown out in just the first post or two.. it's kind of irrelavent (sadly, my spelling as bad as my inability to express things).
the char. have to be developed slowly through the times and changes that come sooner or later... and yes... i have issue with using the whole long name thingy... and most of the short words ex: argh... grr... hmph... are sounds that a person would make in certain situation... ex: real life event can sometimes make a person groan like: grr... etc... i'm trying to depict the sounds a person would made in certain situation as well as giving a short description of what he/she looked like at that point etc...
once again, i am greatly appreciated the advice and helpful pointers...
"Hmm... long blonde bangs... little long ponytail..." then there's a pause in the soft sweet tone of voice. En just sit there and stared at the human girl looking at the human warrior, it was almost amusing to see the girl become so thoughtful at the sight of this puny warrior she brought home. Suddenly, she gasped, "Oh my God! It's her!" She turned to face En with an unreadable expression on her face, quite funny that En had to fight back her urged to laugh.
"And who is this 'her' are you talking about?" En remained cool and collective. "Remember I told you about this one girl I met when I was studying back home?" her eyes still widen. "Yes..." En nodded her head. "That's HER!" the girl nearly shouted out loud. "Ah?!" En nearly dropped her jaw on the floor, if that's actually possible.
"Krin... wake up..." her voice are sweet yet soft at the same time. The young warrior just rolled over and didn't even bother to open her eyes. "Wake up, dammit!" the girl gong the young warrior's head with a wooden mallet. "Gah..." the one called Krin sit up fast-pace and holding onto her head (Y_Y). "What the HELL what that for?!" Krin eyed the other girl angrily. "What do you think you're doing, sleeping in like that on such a nice day like this?" the girl said as calmly as she can (=.=*).
"..." Krin leaned over torward the girl for a moment. "W-what?" the girl asked nervously (^.^;). "AH!" Krin exclaimed but then knitted her brows together thinking hard about something for a moment. "You're Lady right? Right?!" Krin finally said excitedly. "Wow, the meat head actually remembered me..." Lady murmured (=.=).
"What's all the noises are about?" En opened the door and rubbed her tired face. "You..." Krin hissed at the sight of En. "Yeah.. yeah... it's me..." En waved her hand in dismissing that unnerved hissing sound from Krin.
"Krin, don't you dare..." Lady eyed Krin sharply. "What? What's with the evil look?" Krin suddenly changed from anger into something almost innocent. "You're just as weird as always..." Lady then suddenly burted out laughing.
After everything settled down, the three of them sit down and trying to sort the whole mess out. They were talking about the good old days, of how they all met each other.
"You should've seen her..." Krin said laughing loudly. "She was... she was running like Hell was chasing her..." Krin kept on laughing and En couldn't hold it in much longer bursted out laughing as well. "You guys... hmph..." Lady sit there pouted as her face burning red with embarassment. "So what is it was chasing her?" En managed her laughing under controlled. "I think it was a Werewolf of some kind," Krin said thoughtfully.
"I met her when she came here to took the test of become a Cleric, quite amusing and she have to travelled back and forth though." En said softly. "That's how we met and she later joined my little band of small family," En spoke smiling at Lady kindly.
"En also helped me in my study to become a Prophet someday," Lady beamed a happy smile. "That's amazing!" Krin clapped her hands together smiling a bright smile at her friend. "What are you now? Still a novice?" Lady teased Krin and En laughed at their childishness.
"Excuse me..." Krin stuck her tongue out at her friend (:P). "I've long past my test and already given the mark of a Warrior," Krin grinned from ear-to-ear (:D).
"What driven you to become a Warrior in the first place?" En asked with much curiousity in her tone of voice. "I don't have an idol, if that's what you're thinking." Krin said as her grin disappeared. "I've always and will always be, very fond of being able to master the dual swords. I'm never good with studying or memorizing things, always felt most comfort when I hold a blade in my hand. It just felt so right that I really can't explain it," Krin looked at En straight in the eyes with a near crooked smile on her lips.
"So what will you plan to achieves in the future?" Lady broke the oddness between Krin and En. "Seen that I'm already a Shillien Elder, I really don't have much goal except to sharpen my skills..." En paused looking away from Krin's gazed. "Wow, an SE..." Krin paused. "Imagine that... I never thought of meeting an SE..." she said thoughtfully. "I aimed to become a Prophet..." Lady boasted. "Snot..." Krin murmured under her breath. "I'm going to be a Gladiator, and get out of the heavy Brig. armors." Krin laughed.
As the day come to an end, En finally saw how ambitious Krin was. "So it all come to this..." En said quietly as the setting sun give her a light glowed due to her pale skin tone. "Hm?" Lady and Krin looked over at En. "Krin, will you join us and become part of this little family?" her voice sounded smooth and warmed.
"I'm honored..." Krin quickly got down on one knee. "No need to be formal, it is I that was quick to judged you before." En got up and helped Krin off her knee. "I shall be your knight, without the shinning armors part though." Krin laughed. "Idiot." Lady smacked Krin on the back of the head with her fist. "Of course, you too silly monkey..." Krin rubbed her head smiling happily at Lady also.
"En, is dinner ready? Can you come with me for a bit...?" the man paused when he saw Krin. "Hm? I haven't seen you before, must be the new recruit. Very nice to meet you," he smiled gently at Krin. "Very nice to meet you as well, Sir..." Krin paused. "Striet..." he laughed. "I hope you taught her well from now on Striet," En said at last. "Hm?" he raised a brow at her. "She is aiming to become a Glad. like you, so I'm sure you can give her a few pointers of so..." "Ahhh... I see..." he laughed again.
Stood in heavy Doom armors, with the Samurai Longswords on his sides. He looked rather more of a War Lord than a Gladiator. Krin just stared at him, many questions float around in the back of her mind.
As odd as things has been, Lady and Krin were told to team up and headed to Necropolis of Sacrafies (NoS). So the duo packed up and headed to Gludin, Lady changed to her Cursed armor set, as Krin put her Brig. shirt and pant on.
"So why do we need to go there again?" Krin asked getting her shield and dagger ready. "En said it is best play to hunt monsters to harnest our skills," Lady shrudded lightly grabbins her Scroll of Wisdom and a simple shield. "O..kay...?" Krin stared at Lady as she followed right behind her. "We have to talk to the Priest of Dawn to sign up for it though," Lady said. "Oh, fighting for Dawn and Dust thing?" Krin asked as they made their way down the quiet street of Gludio. "Yup." Lady beamed happily (^.^).
Together they used the Gake Keeper for fast travel to Gludin, and from there they used the GK once more to get to NoS.
"Wow.... Lisardman..." Krin said scouting their surrounding. "Let's go," Lady said pointing to the pillars a little Southwest from where they stood. "Last one there will be lizard's food..." Krin laughed running torward the pillars. "I thought it was 'rotten egg'..." Lady said knitting her brows together. "Oh well..." Lady shrugged her shoulders and run after Krin.
"Wow..." Krin exclaimed edging near the blue water (O.O). "Move it," Lady said shoving her friend into the water. Krin went in with a splash and continued to dive all the way to the bottom, where she noticed an entrance (OoO).
"Who we talk to to get inside?" Krin asked pointing to the iron gate that stood still in front of them. "That..." Lady said wringing her wet clothes dried of the water. "Eh?!" Krin stared at the glowing thingy as though her eyes would popped out of her sockets (O_O). Lady rolled her eyes and went over to Gate Keeper Ziggurat, they chatted for a bit and Lady was teleported on the other side of the iron gate.
"...." Krin blinked a few times to registed what just happened. "Hurry up!" Lady shouted. "Okay... okay... sheesh..." Krin rolled her eyes and talked to Ziggurat.
They moved into the first corridor of the place, and all they saw are Holy Land Seer and Watchman and some other odd looking things. "Somehow, I don't get the friendly vibe in this place..." Krin said looking left to right. "You're not supposed to have friendly vibes, idiot..." Lady smacked Krin on the back of her head with her hand. (O_o) "Why do you have to hit me for?!" Krin yelled at Lady and the Seers and Watchmen turned their attention to the two girls (>:-[). "..." the girls sweatdropped feeling the eerie pressure upon them (^.^;;).
The stayed there for days on out, so many days that they lost count and sometimes almost wanted to know what a Seer tasted like.
"Okay, I can't go on anymore..." Krin said breathing heavily. "I can barely concentrate on my healing spells either..." Lady said looking exhausted and somewhat like zombie. "Let's get out of here and find us some food back in town..." Krin said supporting Lady as they headed out of the room.
"Here's the Magic Scrolls you asked us to collect..." Krin said giving Zig. all the scrolls she got and Lady does the same. "Keep up the good work..." it said before teleporting the girls out. Together, they swim back up to the surface where they dragged their tired body back to town slowly and pathetically.
"Civilization at last!" Krin said excitedly. "True..." Lady smiled.
"Red outside of town!" someone shouted. "Where?" another person shouted back. "East gate!" the one before answered. "Be right there!" the second one replied.
"Okay..." Krin scratched her ears. "Don't get involves, there are some not so nice people around here." Lady said quietly. "Some?! Should say a lot, since that's all I heard since we set foot to this town." Krin said dryly. "Yeah... yeah... let's find something to eat..." Lady said yanking Krin by the ear. "Ow... ow... ow..." Krin wince (>_<).
"Yippee!!!" Krin shouted excitedly. "Huh?" En stared at her confusingly. "They said I can take my first test out of my three tests to become a full-fledged Gladiator!" she jumped up and down like a little kid. "Oh, has it been that long since you joined us?" En said thoughtgully.
"Somehow she kinda sounded like a half-witted person for an SE..." Krin murmured under her breath.
"Oh, I'm taking my test too..." Lady jumped in. "Yay!!!" they both jumped up and down. "Ugh... headaches..." En rubbed her temples.
"What's all the screaming about?" Striet asked as En come outside. "They finally got papers saying that they have proving good enough to begin taking the first test of the three trials." En stretched. "She's going to be a Gladiator right?" he asked. "Yes," En replied gloomingly as if she dreaded the word so bad. "I think I can give her a few pointers or so," he paused for a moment. "If I can remember it correctly..." he looked up at the clear blue sky with some white clouds to it.
"Got everything ready for our trip?" Lady asked. "Yeah, but we're working on yours first..." Krin replied pulling her gloves on. "Wow..." Lady just gawked at Krin. "What?" Krin blinked a few times staring at Lady in her new outfit. "You look so hot in Theca!" Lady squealed. "You... looks pretty nice in your Devine too..." Krin moved away and took her dual Katanas.
"T-thanks..." Lady blushed. "Oh..." Krin suddenly looked up at the ceiling. "Hm?" Lady tilted her head in confused. "Got something for you," Krin got down on her knees and looked under her bed. "..." Lady raised an eyebrow up at her friend's strange action.
"It's for you..." Krin stood up and tossed the dual Saber*Rev. Sword at Lady. "Whoa..." Lady stumbled trying to catch the swords. "Looks nice on ya," Krin smiled, before heading outside.
