A problem with % Weight in Inventory

I just finished a quest and I go to trun in the quest items to the NPC. The system says I can't do anything because I'm over 80% in Inventory. I open it up and the number at the bottom says I am at 29%. What the heck? Am I overlooking something, or is this a bug? And how can I get around this?

I did all the usual to bring weight dowm (sell loot, put stuff in inventory), and it brought me all the way down to 27%. Honest. I'm not carrying much beyong armor and weapons, and I burned off most of my dss during quest.

Your problem is not weight, it is the number of items you are carrying. As a dwarf, you can carry 100, so you must have 79 or less to be able to talk to an NPC about a quest. Put the extra stuff in the Warehouse, then talk to the NPC again.

Edit: Or, at least, I think you are a dwarf. If not, the limit is 80, so you must have 63 or less.
