Prophets go +DEX for the accuracy, not for the barely noticable improvement in critical rate.
Go +DEX/+WIT if you're gutsy with your CON and know how to hunt carefully, otherwisely just +WIT and stick with low mobs. If you're in groups a lot, get +DEX for the accuracy.
Upon talking with one of the battle Heirophants who wields +4 DLE*Tallum with maj hvy she stated that the crit rate was the reason she went for +dex with the accuracy just being gravy. However her total tatoos are -Str / +Con -Str 5/ + Dex 5. this setup has allowed her to tank mobs for parties if she needs, and has been sucessful with both her duals and bow in pvp. Now when she was lvling to 75 she wore Doom hvy witrh a DELB and elemental sword since that was what she had avalible. at that point she had +con / and +dex only 3 of each instead of 4/5. During that time she was able to hunt green mobs due to her gear, instead of as now she hunts yellows and whites.
Aren't prophets going to get hit in C5 when they can't use duals anymore. I like the idea of +con/+wit and +dex I have +wit on my buff bot right now. But have considered getting him into battle prophet to get him to 61.
The critical rate increase from +5 DEX is around 3 or 4 extra criticals in 1000 swings, as far as I'm aware, just from the numbers. I honestly don't know if that can possibly be noticable... :confused:
Another important point....Right now, my only concern is PvE, not PvP.
The +4 STR is serving me quite nicely. Against whites and greens I literally almost never miss (maybe once per every other mob) so accuracy is not a problem at all. The loss in hp do to the decreased con is not a problem so far.

We think alike ^_^ my only concren for my prophet is pve too. I currently have the same tatoo as you and its great so far. Whatevere you do dont -dex...
With a focus weapon equiped that takes care of increasing you crit rate... Im sure alot of you will agree with me increasing the crit rate for a prophet greatly increases her damage output against mobs. So do you really need to increase dex.. probably not.
I would never have a +con/-str or +dex/-str tatoo for any reason... I only pve and I always have someone that can cast vr around.... I can lower my con as much as I want to boost my damage output.
As for other tatoos... so you really NEED anything else???
-you cant touch your INT
-you "could" boost you WIT (cast speed) but lowering your men.... I think not. You already have low mana as it is. Solution: carry ng devotion det around for buffing
-you dont want to lower str if your only concerned with pve
- all thats left is a +dex/-con tatoo. Again if you dont care about pvp and are concerned with pve that the only other tatoo I *might* get. If dont miss white/green mobs atm.. or barely.... and have a focus weapon then whats the point of +dex/-con if you fine right now ??

If its working great right now why "fix it". If you realise latter on your having trouble with something then add a tatoo. But if your fine right now... dont touch anything. My prophet is a pve battle prohet in her 60's with BW heavy, duals with focus and +str/-con.... still having no problems, dont need more tatoos....
My prophet currently used CG Full plated Armour & the Helm & Boots I also useCG Duels with Focus and I currently have 2 tattoos the +WIT & +STR & I'm going to get the +DEX tattoo because even if you have a buff that gives you accurancy your duels will still miss or one might miss and they only do half the damage anyways! SO accurancy will help from one misses a little more and then you wont do half the damage you will do full :D I also tried using a bow but it shoots to slow and you would really need the +DEX tattoo since every 10 shots about 6 times ya miss which isn't good! :eek:

Dumb question, but I wonder if a +1 STR with a -1 CON is available? It would nice to max out the STR to +5.
Leveled for two hours last night on white and green undeads in DV. I hardly ever missed and gained 20%. It's hard to argue with 10% per hour soloing. It is fairly easy to find someone around to swap an acumen or haste buff for VR.
I did pick up the devotion set with leather helmet to buff myself MUCH quicker with the +15% bonus, that was a great, cheap investment.

Yes it is available and much cheaper than +4/-4. You can find the +1/-1 at merchant of mammon and buy with AA if no one is selling in town.

Agreed out of everything I have - my Con b/c I need the STR & Dex more and I don't want to lsoe on either of those so I chose to -Con on my Prophet
