I just bought this game few hours ago. Just got into the game and barely finished the tutorial. What I can't find is the option to get invert mouse and key settings. I've looked around the UI and just can't find it. Might be me that's being blonde here.. I don't know.. Can anyone please explain me how I get invert mouse on?
Uhm.. you serious?
If so.. that's just lame.. not only do I have to learn a new game but I have to learn how control the way I usualy play.
How come they haven't made an option so you can invert mouselook?

Maybe you can enlighten me on something.....
Every game that i've ever played has different controls, that i had to learn to play it. How is lineage any different?
You can't just say that I'll get used to it.. I've played with invert mouse for like over 10 years now. It's like making a left hander write with his right hand.
And having to learn how to control the mouse while I have to learn a new game just takes the fun out of it =/
I was playing lineage and i picked up wow, well the controls which have a ton of settings and you can custom to your liking. But they where still awkward in wow.
Well when it came time to decide which game to keep i picked Lineage......
I'm sorry it just annoys me that a simple thing as mouse control ruins the thrill that should have been the exitement of first few hours of the games experience. Instead I find the exitement replaced with dissapointment of because I constantly have to move my concentration to my right hand instead of on the game and it's possibilities.

If your talking about changing the mouse buttons use your mouse control program on the computer. As far as changing anything in game you can't.
First of all, welcome to L2. Let us know what server you intend to play on and perhaps someone here can give you a little "leg up".
Second, realize that scamming and PKing are perfectly legal. NEVER give anything to anyone unless you can afford to lose it. "Lending" gear does not exist in this game. Once you hand it over, it is theirs until (if) they decide to return it. Also, anyone can try and kill you anywhere, except in town.
Third, don't sweat the controls too much. Precision is terribly necessary in this game until large scale PvP; like sieges. Believe me, I felt like a cripple when I first started but got use to the controls fairly quickly (and I'm just about the oldest dog here). It is unfortunate that the controls aren't configurable but most people get use to them quickly.
Lastly, welcome again. Always nice to see new players. :)
I played a bit before turning to bed last night and tryed not to look around so much with the mouse and use the keyboard instead to turn around. Went ok. But still have to restrain myself a bit.
I'm playing on the euro server and made it to lvl 6. My ingame name is Sozia. What I still have no clue about ingame is the Soulshot.. what exactly do they do?

Soulshots.. well.. they are like drugs..
They are expensive, and once you get used to them, you cant go back heeh ^^
well
Its a item you use that will double your damage output for next swing. If you drag it to the shortcut bar and right click it, you will use it automatically, every hit.
Every weapon has a shoulshot/spiritshot usage quantity on its description. Also, you need to figure out the grade thing. You can only use SoulShots of the same grade of your weapon.
Also, Soulshot is know as SS. Spirishots, the magic version of the soulshot, are called Sps by players.
p atack = physical atack m atack = magical atack you wil lfind it in 2 places one on your wepon 2 on tour character sheet the wepon numbers only change with enchanting and the character sheet numbers change wit hwepon enchants skills buffs almost every thing . shol shots doubble the patack o nyour character sheet so you do 2 times the dammage to the mob when you swing at it. sprit shots do 1.5* your m atack and a slite casting speed increase and blessed sprit shots do 2* your matack and a larget casting speed increase
I dont get what the problem is with the mouse, I use my mouse just like a regular one and the view positiong uses the right button and the ball is zoom and the left is point and click, anything I'm missing here or is it a euro thing?
Whats the issue with Inverted or not? Personally i cant work with an Inverted mouse (from other games) and i dont see how people get used to dragging a mouse down and the screen goes up lol.
But i suppose there should at least be the option to change it.
Good luck all you inverters =P
It's a mental thing. Are you looking through someone's eyes (so turning left makes you look left) or controlling a camera (so rotating to the right lets you see your left side). Both make perfect sense in their contexts.
It's not a terribly difficult switch to make with a couple days of practice (much less if you've played both types), but the utter lack of control customization in L2 is a more than justified complaint. Before L2, I would have been surprised to see a game that actually released without it, it's an industry standard and what the customer often expects.
Hes right though, you do get used to it, L2 is my 1st MMO, when i first started playing i thought it really strange how the camera moved when i held the right mouse button, i had never had that exp before, but i got used to it.
