How can i run the game in 1600X higher resolution on my 17" lcd monitor? Once it worked, i don t know how, but i could put the rez on 1600X1200 and even 1920X1024 in windowed mode of course.

I want to do this because i would like to take some high rez screnshots to be later edited.

Please help.

So, what iw anan do is trick my monitor to allow the game to run in higher resolution.

From the nvidia control panel i managed, from the monitor tab, to unhide modes that are not supported by the monitor, still i cant apply them in game.

Please help me, thanks.
PS: i have an fx6200, altho the graph card don t matter it supports up to 2048, the monitor doesen t support higher rez then 1280x1024.
im not sure if this works, but go to ur L2folder\system\option.ini
and edit the resolution.
I run it in 1920x1024 and I was able to choose that option from the menu.

While I would say go for that idea, it's against the EULA and I wouldn't go about doing or saying you do it in the official forums. ^_^
actually, changing the resolution that way isn't against EULA. matter of fact, changing the resolution that way is one of the few ways of fixing a problem where L2 resets the resolution to 320X240 on a crash.

the option.ini file in the l2 system directory contains the settings you make when you pull up your system tab in game, so there is no real point of editing it manually, in most cases, unless someting goes wrong.

as a side note, if your lcd monitor only supports 1280X1024, then don't force it any higher. actually, you can't as there are only 1280X1024 pixels available (LCD monitors have a fixed resolution, however they can merge many pixels into one for lower resolutions). however, go ahead and try, if you want. the worse that'll happen is that you'll get a blank screen and probably a message about signal out of range or something similar, unlike CRT monitors which you could actually damage by trying to display a resolution it couldn't handle.
ok.. why do u think u can go higher then 1280x1024 when u just told us that was the max it could go?
