I made a new character but I typo'd the name and now I have to wait 7 days to make a new character :(. I would just make a new character again, but that was my last player spot. Is there a way to just delete the character in a few minutes?
I know the situation sucks, but it's here to prevent people from rash decisions and hacking. Imagine getting your account hacked - losing all your gear, and all your characters.
The time it takes to type "delete" as confirmation is not enough to sleep such a weighty decision as deleting a character over, and it's not enough to keep a hacker off.
I would agree that a penalty time of maybe two or three days would be more appropriate though.
Well, really, if you think about it, losing all your gear is almost as bad as having your characters deleted. Unless you have a lot of rich friends and clan members >.>

IMHO you'd need pretty bad friends and probably be clanless if they wouldn't help you back on your feet. I haven't heard of a single person who lost everything through something that wasn't their own stupidity and didn't get helped (i.e. someone who blows up all their gear probably won't get any new stuff from friends :p ).
Of course it would take a while to recover completely, but I'd be back to capable-to-play within hours of making sure my account is safe again, I would guess.
