Why new players shouldnt go red

I would just like to share my story about my first pk.

My friend just started a BD and I had a 56+ prophet. I ported to DEv, gave him some gear, buffed him up and followed him around. Of course he could of just 2box with my prophet... but I wanted to make sure he wouldnt get bothered with pkers and the such....

So he starts leveling, he gets a few levels and heads back to town. On his way back he gets flagged. Its a bummer I didnt get to there before the guy turned white again >< So anyways, we continue on our own buisness when I see a red!

btw... did I mention I was in a set of Devotion robes, BW heavy unequiped with my OE B grade duals ^_^

I did not kos the guy that was red (in NG) cause I had my BW heavy ready to swicth back and I wasnt too scared that he would drop me. So I walk up to him in my NG robes and say "hi". He sends a nuke my way. He nukes and nukes some more. "attack failed" I immgine is what he was getting... I look at him, thinking "why the hell did he nuke me and why isnt he running like hell now that he knows its not working." Guess he wanst looking at his damage bar. So I automatically root him and go into my skills window and find Wind Strike. The same nuke he has trying to kill me with just to add to the insult he wasnt do any damage. Anyways suffice to say I 1 shot him. He did not drop gear though >< how unfair I did not get an extra pair of ng gear.

So it finally clicked after that he probably tried to kill me because I was in NG top/bottom robes. But I was standing right next to him for 10 seconds? did he not notice the BW boots I had on or the fact that I had a BIG BLUE GLOWING PAIR OF DUALS???

I pmed him after asking him if he wanted a rematch... he said to meet him at Dion.... guess he hasnt totally new to the game >< (I did not go, my freind needed his buffs ;))

Anyone else want to share their experience of meeting a dumb pker?

pk count > 5 => you spawn at floran village, near dion, any level u are

why new players are hopeless causes:

just before C4, i was a 41 bishop. just joined a clan, and walkin around LE dungeon. outside.

well i see a little light elf female fighter grinding, so i walk up and just begin my buff macro.

spend ONLY shield 2 and was halfway through Might2 when this nubile elf begins attacking me.

ME!

i pulled the same thing the OP did. root, walk apace, nuke nuke nuke. down goes the elf who IMMEDIATELY respawns in village or logs off i cant tell which. but that was pvp number 1 for my bishop.

saw the SAME girl in dion about a month later asking me for buffs.

i asked her: dont you recognize me?

she : uhm, ... no .. but i have heard you give good buffs.

me: im a bishop.

she: oh sorry, must be another person im thinking of. bye!

and proceeds to reccommend me.

A few days ago I'm sitting on a beach on Devil's Island RPing with one of my clan members. We're talking, and I flip over to take a look at my clan forums for some information (I was in windowed mode)

I hear "smack, smack, smack" and tab back, and here's this NG dark elven dagger hitting my friend.

Okay, sure.

<equip SoV>

Sleep.

Root.

<stare as clanmate puts some distance between her and dagger-boy>

Me: Now that was a bad decision, don't you think?

Anyone else want to share their experience of meeting a dumb pker?

I was playing a noob char on TI. I had to work off this Karma from friday night criminal activity.

And then I see this couple of chicks talking on the beach, sitting.

They stood up and 1 shotted me to work off Karma, but it was Official, I had to kill this couple. It was a roleplaying thing.

I came back to them, and flagged on them for 0 damage, and they'd 1 shot me. But as I kept coming back, the couple loved me more and more...

Anyone else want to share their experience of meeting a dumb pker?

Yes, I have a few stories =)

As anyone who can give nice buffs, I always make alts on other accounts, so I can powerlevel myself.
This time I was on Talking Island, leveling my Sorcerer-to-be. I was partying with a girl who was brand new to the game, when this red elven wizard comes up out of nowhere and starts nuking my new friend - who dies pretty quickly. I quickly switched to my SE, and ran after him, and beat him down with my pretty duals :D
It baffled me a little bit... Anyone who has a perma red usually has a higher level main, and should therefore know something about armor and weapon grades... My SE was in avadon and nightmare duals, and would obviously have no problem taking down a sub 40 nuker. He did try to kill me, but, well, 1 damage :eek:

It's too bad you don't get pvp counts for killing reds, because my pvp score is pretty pitiful :p lol

This next story isn't about pk, since I fought back, but I think the person would have PK'ed me if I hadn't attacked back:
It was on my lowbie orc mystic, who was by herself, since that's the point of me starting it (that I level her up without help or money from my main).
I was one-shotting mobs with my drain on my way to the place I was going to since I was still getting quest items from them. And along comes an orc fighter - I could tell she was going to attack me, so I had my finger on F3 (drain). -So as soon as she hit me, I started draining. She proceeded to hit me (4 damage lol), and I kited her till I'd managed to take her down (didn't take long). I wonder what her reasoning was... "Hmm, I think I'll kill that mystic, that's one shotting these mobs. That seems like a good idea".

Both events amused me greatly lol

Here is my story.

I dual box some times and last night I was dual boxing in the Abandonded Camp. Was powerlvling my new main that is currently lvl 21 with a +6 Glaive and full brig armor and then my lvl 36 Cleric in low D grade robes with no weapons at all. So I am getting groups of Commanders and Captains of about 4-6 per fight and destroying them easily. Well I see this Dark Elf in NG Gear with a comp bow. So I walk up to him and ask how he is and he would like some buffs. He doesn't answer me but backs up and then starts to shoot me with his bow. So I walk over to him and in about 5-8 hits kill him with my pretty +6 Glaive. Then when I try to message him to tell him I was just going to try and help him he must have logged out. Oh well.

In C1, I was in giran for some odd reason..questing I think, and I see some purple people out the north gate. I wasn't very good at looking at peoples gear at the time, but I ran out to have some fun. I decided to flag on one of the players out there, low and behold...I 1 shotted him. I frantically took off running towards Dion, as I was now hunted by many. I was pming my buddy asking him what I should do. There was an SE chasing me, so they had buffs(ww) where I did not. Finally, I was ambushed north of eg, rooted and dropped. I lost my brig shield on the first one and was still red. The se pm's me and asks if I wanted a rez. My [censored] says yes. Rezzed and dropped again, this time costing me my brig helmet. I went to floran and worked off the rest.

Back in C2 when Cruma was the popular place to be, I had just ported in on my lvl 40 Destroyer. A red Human Dagger user was just inside. He immediately runs up to me and trys to grief me. Well I was already miffed enough by days of Vachon griefing all of us noobs so I hit back. After three hits the guy starts smamming ss like a mad man and using all his skills. I laugh and hit him another 5 times and low and behold dead red guy who is screaming at me. Funny thing is someone came and rezzed him, but he didnt try it again with me. Love the morons, but gave me the dizzy blood rushing feeling of killing my first red.
