wait, second character? cos your second class on your first character is gonna be bladedancer.

if you want a second character that you can twobox with a BD, most people count prety much Any class (with the right BD) to be good aside from the other support classes.

if youre thinking of subclassing, thats completely up to you.

if i tell you to subclass something with power and pvp point ability, a lot of people will complain that there are too many of those classes already and not enough of anything else, so i will not make that suggestion and let some other nub0 get flamed for it.

I was also confused by your "second class" comment so I'll take this from two scenarios:

1. You THINK you want to go BD, but aren't sure.
Ok, you can go tank, which is the SK. Decent all around with some good fighting ability and you can hurt folks. :)

I went BD and am now a Spectral Dancer (3rd class change). I love it. A must for parties, and in sieges/pvp. Your dances are you life so if you want to be a secondary fighter, choose this path.

2. You want to know about subclassing.
I went SH cause I've always enjoyed that class in groups. It's a great solo class, and does solid dmg in fights, BUT you are a glass cannon which means you won't last long if someone wants to take you out quick. But you can make them pay for it...if you have some health left. ;)

I know a bladedancer that subbed sorcerer... It was a good choice and looked cool too.
I'm preatty sure he meens subclass. and not secound class.
(dark fighter > pallis knight > BD > 3rd class spectural dancer)

For sub class, anything thats range is good, but I've seen some cool looks, you can try and archer ot a tryant. or a mage as long as it's not a SpS sence you can't go the route of Light Elf.

It's all about what you want to do.. what classes interrest you my friend?
I see, so basicly I think I will go with a caster. But what about a tank? like good close combat or is that already out because BD is a support calss.
The subclass has nothing to do with your main class. It's just like a second character with the same name and looks.

As you level, look around at other people and think which class you want to be or would enjoy - then pick that for your subclass when and if you ever hit 75 and reach the subclass quest.

Please excuse me for my ignorence but what is a SH?
A spellhowler. It's a dark elven attack mage - he has the most powerful direct damage magic in the game and a whole slew of nice utility spells to maintain his life and mana, but he is generally considered to be weaker at PvE than the other attack mages.

It's also universally recognised that the SH makes the fastest experience when solo.

Don't be turned off, cause they are support.. they are a DD/support class.. one of the best classes to have.

Sk (shillen knight) is a tank, and I bet will become the best tank come C5, cause of skill "hate" being able to work in PvP. SK is also a simi-mage... SK has a few mage skills, and soem debuffs, and cubics.

SK/BD are the two routes you can go as a pallias knight.

but he is generally considered to be weaker at PvE than the other attack mages.

Maline meant "weaker in PvP"

Surprised no one pointed this out already...

BD's ARE good in group PVP and sieges.

But I gather you want a subclass that absolutely owns one way or the other. To this I suggest picking a subclass that suits your playstyle, since C5 will bring a greater degree of balance between the classes than ever before PVP.

The subclass has nothing to do with your main class. It's just like a second character with the same name and looks.

Maline is mostly right on this. There are however, limitations. For instance, no one can subclass Overlord or Warsmith and if you are a Dark Elf, you can't subclass Light Elf and vice versa.

Here is a good link to show you what classes you can choose from:

This is correct. Thank you! I don't know what bit me there.
And by weaker in PvE she really means, far more powerful than any melee class, just slightly less powerful than other mages. :p
powerful untill someone targets us..... :o

Shouldnt you be marching aroudn somewhere btw?

That is what APCs are for. :p

Np lol, it's happened to me lots of times >.>
