A bit more work than my last pixel customisation. This one uses the base of a sitting StarKnight from Ragnarok Online - just need something to take the snarky tone that is apparently natural in my writing outta my posts.

Here (http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/4871/comparison6hq.jpg) is the finished pixel edit next to the base I used.

:p The legs were obviously done last - they were hardest due to the odd shape of the base's legs (from those metal protectors).

I might go back and fix the shadows on the right leg too - but right now, I have to rush to my first lecture.

Maybe the figure could stick out a bit more from the background.
What are you lecturing on, anyway?

I was thinking about it, but I wasn't quite sure how. I might look into it more when I'm at home. A black border is too crass, a pink border blends with the hair too much, and a two pixel border in white looks odd too though. :/

The right leg (looking at, not her perspective) is now more fixed than before. I love the pink outer border, thanks for the pointer. :)

I like it, a subtle white glow might be nice though, because it still doesn't really stand out from the background..

And no - soft glows look horrible with pixel art. :p

Well, the background isn't pixel art.

EDIT: Did this (http://img385.imageshack.us/img385/20/malineava3km.jpg) real quick, to explain what I mean. There's room for improvement but you get the general idea.

EDIT2: Another variation (http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/1831/malineava26ny.jpg), I'd just like the pixel image to stand out more..

Making the background paler is a good idea.

And I still maintain that soft glows look like [censored] near pixel art after seeing that. :p
