I have a lvl 56 SwS and am currently in blue wolf armor. I'm wondering if using a +4 dex, -4 con dye is worth putting on my SwS. I'm worried that by dropping my con more then what it already is i will get killed way to fast. I cant take a hit very well because of no of heavy armor masteries after lvl 40. I dont know what to do. I'm at a stand still on my decision.
+4 Dex is useless to a heavy armour class, if you want to increase your damage (which it looks like you do, with BW armour), then get +4Str -4Con. The -con wont hurt that much, I'm a DE with less base con than you and I have -7 Con. :D
i disagree..... i kill faster and do more damage then any other SWS out there with +5 dex and +4 str tatoos right now..
by a very large margin..
I'm a DD SwS, and people love me for it (as they don't expect me to tank, but i do excellent damage, comparible to that of the BDs, hell i draw agro from BDs actually.... lucky me)

I use almost the same setup, except I have +4wit -4int instead of the extra str or dex. I sometimes outdamage certain BD setups as well, unless they go DD setup, then it's no match in terms of damage. I tank just fine with this setup, even on higher level mobs than me.
STR is most important for dealing dagger, DEX is more optional since they have great dex already, but it's still very good for grinding, and you want to grind as fast as possible until you can pvp, then perhaps lose the DEX tatoo if you feel like it.
For weapon, a sword is best in most cases, 1h sword with a shield of course! Focus or crit damage SA, whatever is available, but I like Focus better, not tested as much with crit damage.
i would think that the + dex and with my song of the hunter, it would work better then + strength. but i dont want to lose to much hp. with every -1 of con, how much hp do u lose?
i currently have +8 Dual Raids........ roughly 475 patk unbuffed and my patk speed is 425 unbuffed i think as well.
These are estimated as i haven't play my SWS all that much lately... All lvl 40 stats atm as well.. Haven't paid attention since (found a lvl 40 shotty ;) )
Full Plate Armor set.
At lvl 40, i have i beleive with that armor, 1500hp? Not sure...
But reguardless, when you've got VR 1 on you, your critical chance is quite high already, and the moment you got song of hunter, it's pretty much a guaranteed critical ever single frigen hit with Haste Duals. I tried out a +4 SLS with Focus, and it's **** fine as well, (but i wasn't kill as fast as the +8 duals with haste)
If i had to choose, i'd definitely go with the tatoos i got, with a SLS with focus and a shield for C grade, vs a set of +4 or less duals.... only reason i'm using duals on my sws is due to them being +8 (242patk)
