I played erica since C1, but I got tired of the server, and those I rerolled to kain, so far people have been really nice.
And I've yet to see very many pkers. Which is good. hehe
well I'm glad to be here, and I hope you all wouldn'y mind summoning up the politics and history of the server for me plz. And who the big clans/allys are. whos the neutral clans?
It would take a long time to summarise that which changes on a daily basis depending on who got bullied at school that day.
For a dose of insanity, google the l2guru forum and duck into the server forums for your daily dose of giggles and drama as various clans posture politically to reaffirm their... well something or other ;).
I'll give you fair warning tho that you may suffer from temporary stupidity trying to sort the drivel from the facts if you can call them such. Trying to follow some threads will result in the permanent loss of a number of minutes/hours of your life...
Welcome, Nolerhal. There was a clan of extreme griefers on Kain, but their leader 'quit' and most of the rest of them OE'ed their weapons, failed, and left the game. The server rejoiced.
We have a very low number of perma-reds; windmill hill and AC are their usual hang-outs. Only one high level red that appears less and less frequently nowdays.
Name scamming is popular, but most scams are mis-labeled items or reversed quantity/price in sell stores in Giran. Be very careful buying anything there. The overpriced CraftShops are becoming less numerous, but be careful when crafting.
Back in Prelude I remember J3FFY33 running trains and stuff in Cruma Tower. I don't know if he's around anymore.
And to an earlier comment I think the "extreme griefer" clan might be referring to IC? Although IC was annoying at times they did spice up the server. I miss seeing them around. Now I might even be able to win a combat here and there LOL.
Haha I had someone pk my clan lowbie alt raid group. A lvl 52 or something racked up 7 PKs...Rofl...I actually almost felt sorry for her, because my exp came back in 4 minutes, but I am sure the amount she had to loose was a lot more.
Who seriously wants to pk lvl 20s when you are high lvl and not perma red...I actually couldn't stop laughing...I mean...rly...who does that...rofl!
There is still a few enemy clans on the server, but the sheer number of them are diminishing. Perma reds are definitely still around but are getting harder to find. You may also find them hanging around in Execution Grounds (This is where Scabies will hunt mostly)
Definitely agree though getting killed by him is a right of passage in Kain hehe. Hes a cool guy. I even remember Sawa back in the day when i first started playing this game, he killed me once and sorta became friends. Ah the good ole days.

I remember J3FFYEE griefing in cruma. He'd take over the room we were hunting in, flag, setup shop, and try to get us to flag back. Annoying, but looking back it did add some spice to grinding. LOL
In C2, J3FFYEE and Blueberry420 had a terror spree in EG masacreing everyone there.

During a recent conversation with someone who knows Scabies he mentioned he reached 1m PKs. He also stated that his karma is so high that apparently he doesn't drop any more upon death. Last two deaths = no drops. His goal is 1billion karma. :p
Interesting, there had been a bug where your karma got so high you went white again (negative karma) and then didn't gain karma or go red for pk's. That was fixed though.
If you get high enough Karma you stop dropping stuff when you die? I never heard of that before.
I've just joined the server too. And so far everything is good. The treasure room in the School of Dark Arts was a nice touch. :p Someone went on a killing spree in this one room and left all the drops behind.
And not only that but I have a bunch of high-level friends already! Boy I love that!

Thats one thing I like about kain, is the hero's and high lvls are rather friendly most of the time, some high lvls are [censored] tho.
I've made a ton of friends in playing a short time, and I've managed to out lvl most of them!! hehe.
The great thing about kain is there are some real ******** and some really good people. I mean, there is almost no in between. It is like a good vs. evil type thing, pretty sweet IMHO. Thats why I like Kain so much. You can have awesome friends no matter what. And you can find them if you are a bastard or a good guy. Best ppl I ever met in an MMO I met on L2(Kain).
So what class and level are you now, nolerahl? Is ur name nolerahl in game?! Or something else?!
I have noticed that most people on this server are pretty nice. I havent seen one PKer yet. At the same time though it would add some spice to the server to have some neuteral players around. Sometimes its fun to not know what they're gonna be doing. :)
