I dun think in the end it will matter. every one has their likes and dilikes about each archer and each mage. and every one who plays a certain type will say thiers is the best.

I dunno if TK's have hate aura if so and u wana lvl fast and u can effectivly 3 box go Sorc. Then you can aoe with your self. I say sorc vice SPS because sorc have more aoe attckas and are stronger by nature of their class. If you dun wana aoe sytle attack but lvl fast go with with necro and hate stuff then cdl it.
The archer tank compb is good if you want to ba able to move fast. 1 cuz your class of tank and 2 because of the archer. The arches work in this way. Hawkeye slowest of the 3 but can take most damgae higer resit to sunn attacks and snipe is cool skill. Phantom Ranger is the strongest by and has hex wich can help greatly with ur tank b ut is esaly stunned and has lowest hp of 3. Silver ranger is fastest and best dex so Crit ++ but weakest and only extra skill realy is entagle wich u as a TK already have.
If your looking for a class to play to lvl ur TK go Nuker. If you want fun and just a tag along buddy go archer but archer will pull aggro off u faster than a nuker because of crit rating.
/edit lol during pvp we don't even kill them. We will kill everybody he is with and just leave a tk a live and soe or walk back to town if he keeps canceling. TK are so bad it isn't even funny. Playing a TK is like majoring in phylosyphy. Sure it might be fun for a while, but in the end you aren't doing anything.
I choose temple knight for a freekin reason lol. The best tank in game period. Everthing else doesnt count since she will be a tank only, and leave the damage dealing to a archer/nuker (which you didnt answer :p).

Haveing a nuker with a tank is pointless. A nuker can 2 shot anything anyway and will level faster without the tank. Furthermore going to mobs that you can't 2 shot, but need a little damage from the tk will also be slower xp since u are 2 boxing a class and waiting for hate/attacks. Furthermore going into catas with a tank/nuker combo is also poor xp/mana. Assuming u decide to use the prophet or even the wc you will still need heals/recharges do to multi-hitpoing mobs. Neither can really provide the adequate support needed for it to be successful. An se could come close, but you will find that you would get better xp just dragging the tk on af while the nuker 2 shots.
The same holds close to true with archer/tank. You will most likely find that multi-hitpoint mobs are poor eficiency, and your archer solos fine without the addition of hate.
If you are really want to have a tk, your best dd is a dagger. AW is the best pve dagger choice due to hex/high str. A tk and a dagger could do a cata efficiently if you go the path of a wc on your 3rd account. VR is a must for this duo.

There's no doubt about that, but I play this game for fun and I don't really care about the uber nuker/nuker nuker/archer archer/archer crap. Some do. I don't. I enjoy what I consider a good combo. However I wanted other peoples opinion on whether the combo should be tank/archer or tank/nuker. The tank stays. I love my tank and wouldn't stop using it no matter if he did 0% dmg and the nuker did 100%.
the tank/dagger thing was also taken under consideration, but can you imagine the cost of it...Not only that, but all my 3 accounts would get owned by a single nuker and then he/she would boast about owning 3 people at once lol.
The pvp has to be considered too, not only pve and furthermore in catas (:eek:).
