Looking to find a class that best complements an EE. As a duo set. Basically, I want to know who I should partner up with, make friends with.
I have a level 47 EE. Its been almost a month going from 46 to 47 due to not having someone to duo with on a continuous basis. Any suggestions? Melee or Nuker. If one or the other, I was thinking a melee myself, as I can buff them for undead and resists and my recharge will help them.
As an EE myself, I find it very easy to duo with nukers, because my recharges work very well with them. We can last quite awhile w/out very lengthy breaks before I have to rebuff.
As for melee, I have less experience with, but it's hard not to be in a successful duo as a healer. I did love partying with a glad friend at that lvl, though. ^^
Been grouping with a level 48 Spell howler, Anilee on Seig. I root and she nukes, I recharge her when needed. No downtimes yet, as I use very little MP to keep her going and I can regen while walking that we don't have to sit for long. Was curious how if a certain melee was with me how that would work out.
My wife and I duo effectively, from 35 to 55 so far, her EE and my Glad. She plays her EE a little different than many do though, dealing damage in between buff rounds. Her and i hold small to medium rooms in any catacomb/necropolis of our level easily.
Well, due to the defensive nature of EE buffs, actually the best fit seems to be a tank. Those classes compliment each other the most. Unfortunately such a duo can't expect a good leveling speed, as it is the kills (damage) that give exp and not shield blocks...
For nukers, the EE lacks the all-important Empower. Works fine in larger parties though - especially if they already have an SE (even dual boxed for buffs only).

I've been leveling my EE with my SP for awhile now (both are level 50) and while I love Empower, I can actually fight non-stop with the EE. She regens mana much faster than my SE does. (I have an SE and could use her instead if I so chose). But one really important factor for me has also been the speed of heals, sleep and yes... Seranade of Eva. I don't know why people say that spell is useless. I find it works very well and is great.
So, yes, most magetypes will go for a caster with Empower, but I think they might want to re-think this, especially when C5 comes out and EEs get Clarity.

And by the time C5 comes out, I will be so stuck up with my EE that the magetypes that didn't want to be bothered by me at the lower levels, well you know how the saying goes "payback is a b....."
Yea all groups start shouting for EE and asking you for Clarity, im gonna tell them to piss off as they laughed at me when i tried to get a grp before i had it...
Not happening. People will just [censored] about why things cost so much MP, rather than notice there's an actual fix - did you know that most people, even after the next Chronicle is already live in Korea, don't even realise that silence, root and stun are curable in C4?

We have a winner. A tank still probably benefits more from an SE but for an EE the only one that is even close w/ no vr and no emp is a tank.
Let the record show, I have always loved EEs.
Though the chance of me getting a duo with one is low lol
But it would be cool to try! EE undead nukes, I recharge and empower (split shot cost) :p
I know it's not efficient really, but maybe clarity will change that :D
(I really love undead nukes. I'm so sad that I don't get higher levels of it).
Level an alt - SE on your account. If you want to play duo with nukers on your 60+ lvls. Every 20 minute relogin with your SE and baff empower. It seems boring, I know, but really worth. I am SE and I have alt PP, and if needed I use my PP to baff berserk. Nukers love empower and berserk.
I'm a WC, I duoed with an EE< and it was prety good. She helped with buffs, healed and rechjarged and meled, i did buffs she doesnt have (focus, dw, hastle, vr, acu) and also meleed. With her recharges I could keep soul cry on 90% of the killing time. If we whent after some undeds it would of been even better, since she has holy wearpon.
Not that i will take an ee ower a good DD at any time, but ee is a walid optiin for duo. And in parties we also suplement each other, good variety of buffs, and heals. As long as there is no para we are enoughf of suport a party needs, but then again there are ee's who say that they easily interupt para casting with sleep.
your best best... and i'm just talking here... is a dwarf or a tyrant. simply because they never crit anyway, so focus/dw doesn't hurt too much. that and tyrants/dwarves are always running out of mp anyway, so recharge is nice. You should stick to undead mobs though, so you have holyweapon working for ya.
If he can kill with his Nuker and only use EE recharges let them play that way.
Nukers that DEPEND on empower arent worth grouping, lol.
Now don't get me wrong, I like EEs a lot - I really do. Once upon a time, on a server I shouldn't mention, I played a Knight. And there were few things that I enjoyed more then playing with an EE (full parties I guess - that is what tanks are made for).
Now it's just that fighting without empower is getting tough. Already at my level I'm having problems finding green two-shots without emp. I imagine this will only be getting worse. And for solo/duo anything more then 2-shot mobs is terribly inefficient and sometimes risky.
