I have a 24 lv orc shaman on the way to become a warcryer. I seek the advice for those who played one and know their ways. My questions are specific and concern leveling up to 40-43 (after that I may ask for new insight). In your answers, take into account both solo and party gameplay, but also the adena factor (I am not the richest orc, around 90k in cash). My equpiment now: a devotion set and broze breastplate-gaiters. Weapon: bone staff (lowest d-grade). Anyway, fellow orcs:
1) Should I sell both armors and with some more adena buy a light D? Is it a good compromise if you can 't afford both sets (robes and heavy)? Will it be sufficient until I hit 40? Or should I give one set and try upgrade the other?
2) My personal experience shows that up to here (with the 2 sets above) I can solo better in robes than in heavy. I guess this is due to the higher damage I deal (I also receive less) with the DOT spells. Will this change in the near future? For parties I guess robes are the way to go?
3) On the weapons side, I intend to switch to one-handed blunt and shiled as soon as I can afford it. Any thoughts on that?
Untill you hit the mid 50's heavy with a 1h blunt is best. Then you need groups, untill then solo.
Don't waste time on robes and staff or on grouping. I know a lot of people advocate it but there wrong. I have absalute proof.
You know the level 40 dragon in deaths pass? The one that wasnte a raid boss in C2? I solo'd him at level 32. I could own people in C grade at 35. Archers and nukers weren't very hard.
In the 30's and 40's Warcryers in heavy are probably the strongest PVE/PVP class. After the high 40's melee weapons get pointless and nukers get too uberfied. Warcryers are good pvpers all the way up, but they lose there advantages in the 50's. At higher levels you will need groups, I suggest robes and your choice of staff or blunt. Ether way you can still stun. But melee hit are too weak for PVP.
Yeah especially at higher levels. In ally there buffs and CP heals are priceless. There actual combat abilities are nearly the same with there lcak of buffs.

Any other advices you have are welcomed.
Until 40 stick with the robes. After, if you continue to solo, look into a change towards heavy. That's my experience with Rumor personally. Look for a big ally after 40...somebody may be willing to take your under their wing and help you level. You are very useful in an ally at high levels.
Blunt isnt a best choise at 40+ if you are gonig to mele dd. Something with a good crit rate will be much better, especialy since you are getting the critical baffs. Twohander, duals or dager will be better, that stun doent lands often anyway.
For D grade set up I used heavy and blunt, for C i got twohander and like it much better.
You can keep those devotion robes for back up. You have enoughf mana to do a full buff without any robe bonus, and mana will regen fast enoughf even with some heals/drains/poisons and what ever else in between buffrounds. I only used robes when i whent in large parties which had both real tank and real healer. Without those two you can easily tank in smaller parties in heavy, as long as you get a first hit you can keep agro on you most of the time and even if some dd will get agro half way the mob ocasionaly it wount be a problem. Drain is much better for healing then chant of life, especialy since chant of life takes like 8-10 seconds to cast in heavy.
And propet set-uped WC can do a considerable amount of damage, until mid b grade, at least, havent yet tryed any higher.
