What do you think is the best spells to get if I was to make a Character just for hunting small parties, lets say a party of a spoiler, damage dealer and healer etc.
Now I was thinking Silence would be a great spell to hunt these small parties but you can't cast silence on other Chars :(.. So what other spells would be best for hunting small parties of this nature you know those parties that hunt in Noobie areas and maybe I'll make a noobie to hunt them.
So what top 5 spells would you choose and why (regardless of what profession etc)
I'd prefer to hunt these without going Red too often so spells that let the mobs do the killing would be idea.
if u want the mob to kill them the best spell is heal. This will only work on multi hp mobs as 1x hp mobs die way to fast. Also throwing a few buffs on a mob can be huge. For instance if u have time between heals throw a shield buff on the mob and then maybe might followed by haste. in my experiece mobs crit so rarely focus/dw aren't worth the mp.
also a de fighter has sting. THis can be great cause if u land bleed with it u can cut through the hp/cp really fast. I high lvl sting+crono as weapon will rarely 1 shot even noobs, but the bleed will drop them to 1 hp fast.
So..let me get this straight... you want to know what spells work best to grief lower levels, especially new people?
Can't speak for the OP but I think he/she got tired of small parties of our silent friends killing everything in their sight range not minding whose pray it is...

One of the best classes if you want to train them is Bishop.. I don't recall if it was peace or requiem, but one of those spells will let them pull a huge train, then cast it and they all lose aggro and just stand there. The mobs are still social though, so if the party is stupid enough to hit a social mob that has 15 of his friends standing nearby.... A fairly high lvl Bishop also has the option of buffing a mob and then laying on the uber heals.
If you want to be a little more proactive, Stun (Gladiator, Tyrant, Dwarf, OL, WC) can be a real killer if you have some levels on your target. Chain stunning someone in the middle of fighting a mob can be a very painful experience.
Sting is also a winner, that's the old school farmer way.. repeatedly sting the target. If you have alot of levels over the person, a single sting can easily drain their whole CP and HP down to practically nothing.

And you need bishop heals to outheal a 1x mob to make someone die, especially people with a lot of pots. Been there, done that. Made one guy die at least 5 x but he never dropped to the mobs.
Thanks for the idea's so far not seen Sting in action so thats one for me to look up. Heal well tried that afew times on a dwarf outside Dion hunting eye's me nad another healed the eye, I used all my MP (only a SH) and was there a good 5+ mins , Don't know if we was getting close as another came and hit him hard dwarf died and he/she went Red so spent some time helping them loose the red.
Still think silence would work best but no good wishing for something that NCsoft has already thought off to protect the small 24/7 parties.
Sting is a skill that most DE fights get. it's one of the few skills that you can actully use on a white toon.
Fake death is a good meens, so long as it don't fail. (TH, PW, BH)
Necro is a good trainer to, they got silence, nukes, summon to keep you alive if skills fail, curse discord; makes mobs atk fellow mobs, curse fear; makes mobs run away, and some kind of confusetion one to. Para. a couple other ones.
Or you can use a tank and shield stun, or a archer and use stun shot (tho you'd want to train it high and use a low lvl bow, or you'd kill the person).
If u want to lvl up to 52 before u do this, then u can get a weapon with magic paralize SA and use curse death link when your HP is full. this way u do 1 dmg and have a 7%? chance of paralizing the other character for 2 mins. (also works with magic silence) but i think PZ is better.
SK - Lightning Strike has a decent chance to paralyze the target, but it's kind of a high lvl spell.
Warlock - gets binding cubic, which also paralyzes a target. They get it starting at lvl 40, and attacking someone with a chrono is enough to make it go off.
You can always use one of the summoners.. can't ever remember which.. gets a summon that can "hate" pcs. Which forces them to hit the summon. Then they're purple and you can do whatever you want to them, including silence, root, etc.
The summons hate would be good for just straight killing them, you could even give the mobs a hand, and sometimes the mob might get last hit.
IMO the best is the warlock binding cubic, then just use a chrono weapon to attack the person until the cubic lands. Do it while he's fighting a mob and who knows how much loot you could collect over night.
If it's a party, do it to the healer...
The only drawback is that Paralyze is getting nerfed heavily in C5, I dunno if it applies to the Binding Cubic though.
well thanks for the input folks, from the info you have given I've taken it and put it all in a big pot and it seems like a plains walker will emerge as it has a good balance of the skills/spells mentioned (if I replace sting with Bleed which seems to be about the same)
But it's not to late to offer other suggestions as I intend to start this weekend.
OL get a mass root at high levels versus the WC who only gets mass root at lower levels. Takes good timing but you basically run a train to the location you want them to hit. mass root then step far enough away so they will not re aggro to you. Then watch the fun. Rinse and repeat all day long.

Both skills can be used on white players.
Exactly what i will do with my warlock once he hits 40 :)
Those dion bots will face my wrath.
