will the newbie questions never end?

So I was in the orc beginner village last night and this morning, and I saw about 5 players trying to kill the guards outside of the temple. I tried to ask why they would be doign that , because they just got killed over and over again. They were tireless! But why would they want to do that? I don't know if they ever even killed him. Is there an event or a quest or something?

Nala
they do it so they delvl and can stay and farm the same mobs over and over...

From all of the years of working in the mines, the dwarven race appears to have picked up a gene that causes severe depression. As a result a huge majority (some dwarves are not afflicted) of the dwarves in Aden will go into periods of depression so severe that they become extremely suicidal.

Being as how a person in Aden cannot hit themselves, the preferred method is death by guard.

It's a real tragedy if you ask me that no one even makes an effort to cure this extremely evident, widespread, and severe problem that affects us all.
Seems to me that they could use a happy pill :P
K, newbie question #2... lol

I'm wearing cloth armor right now, which says Upper Body/Robe... this means I AM wearing a robe, even though it's in two peices?

And when in god's name do I finally get enough adena to buy something better? lol Should I wait until i'm 20 and i can buy something player made?
no, that means you are only wearing tunic. I would realy sugest geting stokings, if you dont have them. But yes, that's still robe. What level are you now? By the time you hit lvl 15-18 you should already have devotion set and second best wearpon, especialy if this is your's toon which resives newbie bonuces. Just do the repeateble quests and hunt white-green mobs hich give those quests.
Your's first upgrades will come earlier the that of course. If this is your's first char then you have option of "upgrading" gear, giving old one + money difference to NPC shops for next set of gear. Only you can not upgrade the starting gear, but you cvan buy the 800adena staff or book and upgrade from it.
The important thing to remember is to take it slow and steady in this game. Or the grind will turn you into dust.
interesting observation! just for dwarves an update coming in C5 will allow warsmiths to craft a happy pill.
It will immediately sell for 100 million adena.........
Ummm....the grind is going to turn you to dust anyway. Once you get to 60, you can actually go backwards, lol!

Don't get too near the pool on the titanic, you might get wet!

LMAO
The lvling from 1-20 the first time around takes a while, specially if you don't get help (gear) from higher lvls.. And the money thing is supposed to be hard, so you're doing fine, trust me.. Eventually you'll learn how to play the market, thats a very good way to make money.. Plus I heard the manor system is good too.. What server are you on?

Ohh!! Splatter is almost lvl 30!!!
I'm on the devianne server :) And thanks for all the good encouragement. I'm trying not to level TOO quickly because I know that this level of the game will only be this interesting once. hehe Can't wait until I bigger though at the same time! I have so much left of the game to experience and see!
Remember to do the quests around the town, they are extremely rewarding when you're new. You also get newbie buffs at your level from the helper.

I'd help you out further, but you're not on Erica.
