im trying to get back in the game what server would be best to join... Is teon more recent then all the original servers? would that mean everyone isnt all that high?
Join Kain. But I'm kinda biased in my opinion. All servers are pretty close together. There will be little difference, any server will be about the same.
euro times are fine, im more concerned with how far along the server is.... the newer the server the better i assume, for finding groups and all...
Nope... pretty much all servers have a range of players and many high lvls. Just find a server whose temperment suits you and jump in. Remember that some servers use L2blay to post so you might want to check those out if that to see if that is your style.
Also, remember the new player areas are a bit dead. Most 20+ in Dion and Giran is the most populated town.
Anyway, the thing you should know about kain is, there are LOTS of high levels...because it was the third server in existance. The higher the number you get the newer the server. Granted some servers will be more dead than others and in turn have less new players.
On kain you actually may run into one or two 'actual players' in the noob towns, but it is hit and miss. When you get to lvl 20 you will see a few more. But when you will start seeing a lot is about lvl 30 or so, and then even more the higher you get.
I will warn you now also, kain is kinda ruthless and PvP seems to be the game's highight of choice.
I like kain tho, there are some really cool ppl there.
i hope jute, i hope .. but i was more talking for new players ;)
When a new player must buy is NG/D and hell..even C from the shop because everything sold is +7+++ its fricking hard to get money to afford to get items from the over taxed shops..
For D and C grade, you don't buy from player shops. You buy from regular shops and you upgrade(only weapons) via the Mammon dude. That would save ya a bunch.
Buying things from player stores on any server is usually bad for a person who's brand new to the game. If you've been on the boards for a while, you might have seen the "buy low, sell high" phrase going around. Well, that is true, but for a newbie with very limited adena, that is a hard to achieve element.
