I looked through the posts a bit kinda new here and the character system for this game is a bit different than what im used to. Bascially in most gamse i play i like to use a big dirty 2H axe or Dual Wield two cool looken weapons. So my question if i play as a Fighter (I dislike Playing Casters) Which class or subclass? is best for Melee Soloing i wont be doing much PvP at all only if im inticed into it other than that ima be PvE all the way. I just Came From WoW as a Fury warrior :p looken for something silimar thanks for any help guys.
I would recommend going Orc fighter/raider/destroyer. They get masteries in two-handed weapons, and many other good skills, have a ton of health points, and can use polearms for fast leveling.
Just remember that PvP is a huge part of this game. Doesn't mean you have to seek it but some might find you.
It is an open pvp system so anyone can kill anyone at anytime (except in cities )
Other than that the quests are extremely dry to "ok". There is a huge grind built into the game so be prepared for that.
Also, the new player areas are a bit light of people. After you finish your first class change at lvl 20 go to Dion to meet more 20+ people. Group a bit, find a clan, etc.
cool, ya i was looking forward to the steep lvlen curve when i Played WoW i played on a pvp server i just dont "usually" go looking for pvp :p . And if i got this right once i get to level 75? i can choose a subclass so i can switch from a gladator to like a blade dancer? im kinda confused on how it works, as to quests wow quests were dry too i just like killen stuff
Once you get above level 75 and fulfill some other requirements, you can start your same character over from level 40 as a different class. There are some limitations to what classes you can choose, but generally it's anything that isn't too similar to what you're already playing. There is a link on the official site's Library section that you can refer to about subclassing. See this (http://www.lineage2.com/Knowledge/subclasses.html) page for more information.
I wouldn't be too concerned about subclassing just yet though. It's a very long road to 75, and if you start looking too far ahead, you may get very discouraged. Take it one pace at a time. Everyone starts off very, very slowly.
