Not sure why but anyone know what is causing the increase of AA? I recall that it used to be 5a each a while back. Still ive notice it steadly increase over the past 3 mounths.
All Items that you can purchase with AA have also been going up. Blanks themselfs took the increase from 1100a each to average 2500a to 3000a each.
Could it have something to do with C5 like with OE jewl set and armor set giving bonues.
Sieghardt finding AA under 3a each is rare and from what someone told me this past week everyones been buying them up. Do you think it will continue to rise?
I was reading some where that we could use AA at the blackmarketeer to get mats and such. If thats true I suppose some one could be stockpiling them for that reason.

Yes Ancient Adena is used to buy stuff from the Merchant of Mammon, putting SA's on weapons, unsealing high lvl gear and such, but still...
...if someone sells Ancient Adena for 5 adena a piece, and you buy it...well that says more about the ease you have to collect money and that points only in 2 directions:
1) Or you have automated friends
2) Or you use some kind of "internet" resource.
Bottomline = Grind for your AA, it's not that difficult to collect a decent amount through time.
I am one that likes to play the market. So far I have been trying to compete and with out suppliers its sure difficult. I cant seem to understand why the guys selling aa at 20k at a time are raising the prices.
Unless there is going to be a use for them. As far as I know 100blanks and 25k aa gets you 1 DWE scroll. Dion is selling them on average at 600 to 700k each. So its a good profit if you can get it for 2a each and blanks for under 2000a. Still however I dont understand how anyone would trade them in for CWE as it costs 200blanks and 75k aa from what I can recall. If you go to giran and buy 1 SoR second from top D you can get it upgraded to top D for under 500aa. Correction 480kAA :)
Also you can buy 2 swords from giran merchant and combine it for top D duals for 2,100,000a and then sell in dion for 2,500,000 as ive seen before.
I see people selling Swords TOP D in dion for 3.3m nice profit right there. But with the increase of aa its going to be 4m if those people playing the market stick with it and expect the same return.
If I were to grind myself for the aa sure id make a nice profit but if you factor in the time it is waisted energy realy.

You don't? Not even when I say that you can easily get your EWD for 280k and EWC for 400k by grinding your AA and Scrolls yourself?
Selling EWD for 500+ and EWC for 800+ is sick and happens all the time, you'll see those are the same players who sell AA for more then 3 and so on....overpriced stuff will always be there, and sadly there will always be people dumb enough to buy it and keep the money inflation going on.
I understand what your saying. I just find that if the Supply demand is there then why fight? If people buy at 700k what is it to me? If i grind for the AA & blanks then that means i make far more profit and in turn i can supply all new memers joining the aliance/clan in C5.
Personaly I am wondering if there is another reason for aa going up is it because its that rare to get now? Personaly I can bring it 100k aa myself with normal lvling/grinding still the cost to do that with Dss and such just does not justify the time spent to make the added profit.
Your strategy seems flawless, but you might wanna look a bit deeper or further into it. If you too jump on the train of selling EWD for 700k and EWC for 1100k, you help the inflation of the market. Ok you will have more money, of course you will. But all the rest of the stuff you want to buy will be up in price too.
So eventually you don't have more or less then before, cause if you are so used to just buy your stuff, you will eventually end up buying your A grade from farmers, for much higher prices then reasonable.
If you find that ok for you, well by all means go right ahead, I know I have better things to do with my adena's then just throw them out of the window.
One should play the market, but one will be much better off in the long run by playing it honest and building up a nice reputation. And that means: Buying and selling with tagged and clanned chars, not with lvl3 Trade chars in Giran Castle Town.
I read somewhere in the past that every now and then Events come about that will offset the inflation in the market forcing those that sell these items at excuberant prices to lower their rates in order to compete.
I wonder if GM's are aware of the issues associated with the market play and will act accordingly to address this issue. Flood the market with freebees that way no one in there right mind would even spend 2 cents to get those items and focus on other area's.
Only issue with that is as these items are meant to take cash out of the echonomy that will just put more coin into the echonomy.
I for one keep all the money i make. I rarely buy items from anyone Craft or get friends to craft. And that way im just saving up my finds to help others with there needs.
However if the items meant to take cash out of the game echonomy is given free then im sure that it will cause this inflation.
Someone has to have this coin. I calculated how much 1 24 day one can make on the server.
And honeslty unless someones hording all the cash and not "trading" it then eventualy all prices will once again come down. Just given enuff time. So hence I beleve that there is another reason for aa going for 3a or even 4a each as from what I can tell will be the future verry shortly.

I've been taking my level 30+ character into the Cats and been getting (selling) to players the stones for about 200k adena per session. I could easy turn those in to AA and sell those. It's not every difficult even at level 20 to farm for AA while you are grinding the levels.
As far as price gouging, you are responsible for your own actions. If you buy AA for 5 a piece when you could have looked at the person right next to them and bought it for 2 or 3, then its your own fault.
Kind of like when the X-Box 360 came out, they were $399.00 US in stores. However, the stores were running out of stock fast, you could get on the Internet (E-Bay) and pay $1,200.00 US for the same item. Would I? Hell no! I would wait until the demand drops in stores then get it at $299.00 US. Yeah, I might not get it for 6 months before the other guy, but I got it and saved enough that I could have bought 4 of them for the same price someone else got off E-Bay.

Verry true. So far ive manage to land a few 11a buys. So its still possible. Just still wondering if C5 will thorw things into a loop. For better or worst.
