Ah, I thought it checked my ping for the servers from that. Pretty usless for that site giving the ping if it's just the websites ping on the servers. mirite?

You are correct but it is not entirely useless. You just need to know that your pings may/will be different. I am near the west coast and I assume the glop site is in the east. There have also been times that they've had issues with their route to the servers so it would show them down but worked for me. It's a tool. Not perfect, just another tool.
